To be insanely fucking angry at this reporting...

Articles about record number of female criminals, lead with a picture of a transwoman. Rises in reported 'female' crime...ignoring that figures will be screwed from this day on given MALE crimes are logged as by females. And so on.

I am actually fucking raging about this and cannot vent anywhere except here as I would be deleted.

Surely noone actually thinks this is right?!

Yeah the other 'woman' that raped a man has annoyed me a bit too but this one is something else. A (male) woman who may be dressed like a man indeed. Fuck this. Fuck it all.

Maybe they know it's ridiculous but know they will face a backlash for saying so? That's why the lead the article with a picture of a clearly male person, so more people will think 'hang on a sec, this isn't right'

Or am I just clutching at straws?

I would say its overly optimistic paw..but I guess a possibility.

I am just waiting for my friends to start posting this on facebook. I have a feeling this may be the matter that excludes me from a lot of friendship groups as I have stayed pretty quiet on most ridiculous matters so far but this has actually angered me a lot more than it (probably) should do...

For the record, the author is a PhD student researching female-perpetrated sex crimes. One hopes that when she digs down into societal and cultural influences for sex offenders, she remembers to separate by sex, not gender.

Journalist confusing sex and gender.
DM has a headline today - woman charged with rape. A female cannot commit rape because you can only rape with a penis. So it's a man living as or dressed as a woman judging by the pics. But not "a woman".

However, a female with a surgically constructed penis could commit rape.

I don't trust ANY report any more concerning sexual abuse, child abuse, murder/attempted murder, violent assault etc - where the suspect/perpetrator is described as a "woman".

The recent case of Bethany Hill's gruesome murder really shocked me. I remember when it happened and thought what a horribly cruel premeditated crime - especially for a couple to commit. When i saw the report on the conviction recently thst Kayleigh Woods was male, i realised we really have moved into some Orwellian doublethink shit.

Strangely, I've never heard of a case of that happening. It's almost as if females, regardless of their self identified gender, don't commit anywhere near the amount of violent and sexual crimes as males, trans women or not.

I'm so sad about all this. It just seems so pointless and it will all play into the hands of woman haters like Philip Davies who tried to filibuster the domestic violence bill.

I've done some pushing back on twitter but I feel so helpless.
