To think white front doors are common?

Settle a debate.
Dh wants to paint the front door. No problem, I've said he can do anything but white as it just looks common and tacky imo.
Would you believe it, white is the only colour he wants!

Depends on the style of the house. But yanbu I don't like white either Smile I am just getting a new door and am either going grey or black. Can't decide!

I've no idea. I don't really see very many houses with white front doors now that you mention it, even when the houses have white windows.

They might be "common", but they are a darn sight cheaper than the exact particular shade of feckin green I've got to have as part of my leasehold agreement. Think yourself lucky you've got a choice!

White PVC? The worst. My objection is they look cheap and ugly. I don't think I've ever noticed/seen a painted white door.

I think YAN really BU. I often find white tacky - for cars, shoes, clothes, furnishings, electronics... Black is so much classier. But I realise IABVU Wink

We have a white wooden door with an archway around it which has gorgeous roses on in the summer.

I live in a terrible naice Leafy, market town. As middle class and middle class can be.

The majority of doors are white.

I must raise it at the next parish meeting - it really can't be allowed to go on.
