To ask what you had for dinner?

I cook, DH cleans. Every morning I ask him what he'd like for dinner and he always says he doesn't mind. I enjoy cooking and am happy to spend time preparing something nice but I'm out of ideas and bored of cooking the same kinds of things so am looking for inspiration.
Tonight I made sweet and sour chicken and noodles. What did you have?

Hake with garlic mash and kale. Had a similar meal in a restaurant recently (well in the restaurant it was roasted loin of cod) and tried to re-create at home.

Also road tested another dish I borrowed from a restaurant last week salmon with sweet chilli noodles and stir fry veg.

Sweet chilli chicken skewers, with noodles and veg. DH and I had courgetti noodles, DCs had regular ones.

TheFuckersBitingMe · 10/05/2016 21:04

DH bought himself a burger maker recently and we had pork and apple home made burgers with salad and home made coleslaw. He is somewhat obsessed with turning everything into burgers. I'm going to hide it if he doesn't cease and desist soon.

Chicken breast on a bed of potatoes, onion and carrots with thyme and sage gravy. All put in slow cooker before I went to work. So quick and easy to do.

AerithEarthling · 10/05/2016 21:05

I had a salmon fillet, veg aka courgettes, tomato, pepper and sweet potato mash

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 10/05/2016 21:05

Fishcake72 · 10/05/2016 21:08

Sardine salad. DH went to McDonald's!

StickTheDMWhereTheSunDontShine · 10/05/2016 21:09

Various bits and pieces (Higgedy caramelised onion quiche, ham, boiled burford brown eggs) with salad. ie a picky tea. Went down very well with everyone. DS1, who usually can't get enough of processed meat pretty much monopolised the eggs!

Astralabe · 10/05/2016 21:09

Chicken and red cabbage slaw in whole meal pittas.

TheFallenMadonna · 10/05/2016 21:10

Pork and sweet potato chilli. I have no oven because DH broke the door on Sunday. My shopping assumed an oven. I am having to rethink...

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 10/05/2016 21:11

Sausage tray bake with peppers, mushrooms, courgettes and potatoes for dh and ds.

I used quinoa as my base and added the rest instead of potatoes.
