To ask what you had for dinner?

I cook, DH cleans. Every morning I ask him what he'd like for dinner and he always says he doesn't mind. I enjoy cooking and am happy to spend time preparing something nice but I'm out of ideas and bored of cooking the same kinds of things so am looking for inspiration.
Tonight I made sweet and sour chicken and noodles. What did you have?

I've got a homemade lamb hot pot out of the freezer to have with pickled red cabbage but I'm not sure I want it because I'm ill, pregnant and grumpy Angry I want a slab of chocolate and my bed.

Tonight I had a beef burger sun. It's been a crappy few days. My mum always made me beef burger sun for tea when I was little and was feeling sad or poorly. So I made myself one. It's supposed to be 'normal' tinned spaghetti for its hair but I didn't have any. So the sun got a bubble perm in the form of hoops.

Kurri

It is a simple, free form recipe which you can add or substitute as you wish. I mix half the flesh of a roasted butternut squash. one can drained black beans, one half cup of oats, chopped up jalapeño pepper (1-2 as based on how spicy you like it), one egg, tsp of ground cumin, a tsp of smoked paprika, a dash of cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Form patties and place in fridge to firm up for an hour.

I place in a 200C oven on a baking sheet highly smeared with veg oil (to prevent sticking) and bake until lightly browned.

The yoghurt sauce is made with a cup of greek yoghurt, a (very) heaped teaspoon of chipotle paste, salt, pepper, zest of one lime, and minced coriander - mix until uniform.

The pineapple mango salsa is just finely chopped pineapple, mango, red onion, coriander, lime juice, and a dash of olive oil. can add finely chopped avocado if you wish.

I put the salsa on the bottom bun, the veggie patty, top with yoghurt dip, and put the top bun on.

everything can be made ahead of time. Just cook veggie burgers when needed, assemble, and enjoy!
