I cook, DH cleans. Every morning I ask him what he'd like for dinner and he always says he doesn't mind. I enjoy cooking and am happy to spend time preparing something nice but I'm out of ideas and bored of cooking the same kinds of things so am looking for inspiration.
Tonight I made sweet and sour chicken and noodles. What did you have?

I made a chicken tikka and rice from scratch but wasn't hungry enough to eat it so it's gone in the fridge. DP had leftover pizza.

Purplehonesty · 10/05/2016 22:42

Chinese chicken curry with fried rice and salt and chilli chips.
And it was awesome!

Then malteser cheesecake which I did make. That was pretty good too!

Bad food day!

Whole baked sea bass with subdried tomato and pine nut stuffing, with roasted new potatoes, peppers and onions.

OP, when I am out of ideas I dig out a recipe book and choose a weeks worth of recipes. If I can't find a weeks worth I like the sound of, the book goes. I like ones with different sections (e.g. countries or style of dish) so I can choose one from each section.

HeckyWithTheGoodBear · 10/05/2016 22:48

Pasta bake using up (finally) the last of the cheese from a party we had last weekend. It was too much cheese, really. And a yoghurt and a (big) glass of white wine.

Happy birthday Nokids SmileWine

We had chicken and chorizo tray bake served with homemade patatas bravas. First time I've attempted it as it's usually OH's specialty, but we're still alive so far!

Seren85 · 11/05/2016 01:09

We also had breakfast for dinner....scrambled eggs, bacon, beans and toast. It was great. Tomorrow we are having turkey fillet with a chilli/ginger/lime marinade, cooked in coconut oil, with brown rice and quinoa plus peas and sweetcorn.

MissManagement · 11/05/2016 02:32

Duck breast with plum sauce, on a bed of steamed rice, accompanied by spinach which I pan-fried from frozen with a bit of garlic and a dash of truffle oil.

It was a good 'un if I do say so myself.
