Today he has, dug potatoes and carrots for 5 people out of the garden, washed peeled and chopped them (for tomorrows tea), been to visit his mother, cooked tonight's tea and washed up (I prepared it) and will walk the dog at 9 tonight

Actually, writing it down it looks ok, but he will have spent about 7 hours watching tv by the time he goes to bed tonight, that's what pisses me off

AIBU?

Was there anything else that needed doing that he left you to do? What's wrong with a day of rest?

LittleFishBigOcean · 08/11/2015 19:48

Mine has accompanied 3 yr old DD for a poo. Oh, and he made a sandwich.

cardibach · 08/11/2015 19:48

Looking at it again that's more than I do most Sundays...

AlwaysHope1 · 08/11/2015 19:49

And what's wrong with that?

shutupanddance · 08/11/2015 19:49

Ive done waaay less what the problem? Its Sunday.Hmm

TrinityForce · 08/11/2015 19:50

that's loads Shock

what else did you want him to do? I think that's plenty.

janethegirl2 · 08/11/2015 19:50

Mine has sat in front of the fire all day but did go outside to get more wood for the fire. That's all.

hippoherostandinghere · 08/11/2015 19:50

Less than that? Seriously. Yes my DH has.

He's ran a bath.
He's drove to tesco and to his sisters.

That's it.

Lj8893 · 08/11/2015 19:50

Myself AND DP have laid on the sofa allllllll day watching rubbish. Occasionally one of us made a cup of tea. Then we ordered a takeaway

It's Sunday

relax!

trollkonor · 08/11/2015 19:51

Yanbu if you were running about, had lots to do and he sat on his arse and refused to help.
Yabu if there wasn't anything much to do, you didn't ask and he wasn't mentally switched off to family life.

Last Saturday I had a hangover and didn't move from the sofa.

Enjolrass · 08/11/2015 19:52

We had done shit all, all day.

What is it what you wanted him to do?

Sounds fairly productive for a Sunday.

donajimena · 08/11/2015 19:53

I've done fuck all today. YABU unless he doesn't pull his weight in general. Its Sunday. A day of rest.

Seriouslyffs · 08/11/2015 19:53

Unless you're going to tell us you e finished your PhD, accompanied 5 children to various parties and activities, done a full supermarket shop and made the week's packed lunches and phoned his Mum, that sounds like a good day.

PepperThePrepper · 08/11/2015 19:55

What did you do today, Op??

RoseWithoutAThorn · 08/11/2015 19:56

DH and I got up late, lay on the couches watching TV, went for lunch then came home and have been on the couches ever since. Was there something you wanted your DH to do? If there was did you ask?

riverboat1 · 08/11/2015 19:56

Huh? Cannot work out if the OP is genuine or sarcastic...

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 08/11/2015 19:56

Dh played golf, not appear from the bed room since. I have done the shopping ironing, cleaned round, cooked breakfast lunch and dinner, been to the shops, bathed kids, dried hair, done washing... gathered stuff for school tomorrow, helped with homework and reading. Just showered, ready for downton. YANBU

Boysclothes · 08/11/2015 19:57

DH made my breakfast, went shopping, looked after DS all day, whilst doing tons of DIY up in the loft conversion, made dinner, two loads of washing, bathed and bedded DS, cleaned the kitchen and has now headed back up to the loft to "have another crack at the corners on the coving". He's also made a million cups of tea.

I've sat on the sofa, then moved to the bed, then had a bath, now back on the sofa.

He should probably do a thread about me on here!

Senpai · 08/11/2015 19:58

Depends. What have you done today? If you're doing all the house work, yanbu. But otherwise, lazy days are the best days in my opinion.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 08/11/2015 20:03

That's a load more than I have done. And 100% more than my dh.

NotEmptyNow · 08/11/2015 20:03

He's done a lot more than me! I made toast, did a perfunctory 20 mins housework, then sat and watched films all day while eating food made by DH in front of a fire lit by DH.

JaceLancs · 08/11/2015 20:03

I went Xmas shopping, clothes for me shopping, food shopping, packed some parcels for eBay, did a bit of prep for work tomorrow, 3 loads of washing, cleaned entire house and cooked dinner
Then I don't have a DH!
As I work fairly long hours, don't get chance to do much of the above at any other time

IrritableBitchSyndrome · 08/11/2015 20:07

Mine had a shower and got dressed about an hour ago, and made baked beans on toast for himself and DD. I'm trying to be really fair to him... ooh he made me a cup of tea earlier.
