Today he has, dug potatoes and carrots for 5 people out of the garden, washed peeled and chopped them (for tomorrows tea), been to visit his mother, cooked tonight's tea and washed up (I prepared it) and will walk the dog at 9 tonight

Actually, writing it down it looks ok, but he will have spent about 7 hours watching tv by the time he goes to bed tonight, that's what pisses me off

Actually, having just checked Border Terrier forums, it confirms almost what I said initially- they need at least half an hour of vigorous exercise a day. So perhaps it is you who has no understanding of dogs. Are you this rude to your husband?

Candleabras · 11/11/2015 10:16

Their needs are different from their wants, they need at least an hour and a half of exercise each day, that can be three half hour walks. Mine gets that as a minimum, bt's do not demand exercise, but they love it. I do realise that lots of dog owners don't walk for that long, but we do. You're obviously not a dog owner, either that or you don't like exercise.

Candleabras it's clear that you're just going to be rude to everyone now.

I haven't posted before because when I first read your OP, I thought he'd actually done a lot more than you had.

After reading the rest of the thread, I feel sorry for him tbh.

I've been a dog owner for 30 years. Now you're insinuating that i'm lazy. Bully for you with your three hours walking a day. Perhaps if you devoted more time to your husband and house and less to your pet then you would t have a falling down house. There's a difference between responsible pet ownership and pious martyrdom you know.

Oh OP, you will never realise how unreasonable you are. It's genuinely a shame, you seem almost delusional in your views of yourself and your husband. I doubt taking this to the relationship board is going to make it swing in your favour.
