To wish I lived in Gavin & Stacey?

I'm poorly so on the sofa watching Gavin & Stacey.

I love it. I wish my family and DH's family were like that. The one where they order the Indian takeaway and the Christmas one always make me think it looks so cosy!

What TV show would you 'live' in??

YABVU

You'd end up taking Stacey out with a bazooka just to put an end to her ultra annoying Muppet Baby voice.

Grin and can you imagine how irritating Pam would get after a while?

Pams get irritating after 40 odd years- take it from one who knows and is the daughter of a Pam Grin

ooh I was just thinking about Mick as well. But not in a 'I wish he was my Dad way'....Wink
Do you remember when Larry Lamb was playing the lovely Mick and that dreadful swine in EastEnders at the same time? Kind of odd.

I'd much rather shag Mick than Gavin, Gavin is so wet.

In fact Gavin and Stacey are the weakest characters in Gavin and Stacey.

I'd like to be friends with Nessa. But I think Stacey would get seriously on my nerves.

I always wanted to live with The Waltons....

Mmmmm Mick, Larry Lamb is in something now that my mum watches, I can't remember what it is but I caught a few minutes the other week when I was in her house and had forgotten how attractive he is - almost had to sit down.

Pam really is a spam, isn't she?!

Errr, I meant Pam really is a Pam.

I live in Billericay, so I nearly DO live in Gavin & Stacey.

Except it was filmed in Newport...

Do you know what I didn't watch Gavin and Stacey when it was first on, but I did watch Eastenders and God I hated Archie so much. Couldn't believe it when I did watch Gavin and Stacey, how nice Mick is!

I actually love Gavin, he's so sweet. Blush

I have a really dysfunctional family so in probably wearing rose tinted glasses!

Yeah and I loved when Mick said in the G&S Christmas special, 'what time is the Eastenders Christmas Special' on? Grin

oh Uncle Bryn , he is a superb invention...Grin

I loved the episode when Nessa goes into labour and Gavin and Smithy don't have the right money for the bridge...

I have a huge soft spot got Gavin and Stacey. I'm from rural Wales, but living in London having married a Londoner. It all resonates with me!

There is one random bit that I love. Gwen and Bryn are talking about Bryn having seen a neighbour outside on her way somewhere. They ponder some more about where she could be going. Then Gwen asks 'did she have her bag for life?'. Wonderful.

I'd love to go to the pub and do Smithy's pub quiz. Stacey would get on my wick after a while but I'd love it if Gwen would make me an omelette.

I know a couple in rl with one pfb grown up son who got married just last week. It was like being inside an episode of g&s at the wedding, utterly fabulous. They are all so like the Shipmans, just great people.

I've known a lot of families very like the ones in G&S, and while I didn't want to live in them in wouldn't have been a bad deal at all. They all care about each other but in a realistic way, so I can understand you wanting to be one of them.

I love the christmas special. Reminds me of my teenage Christmases with various relatives visiting and bedding down all over the house. It always gets me in the festive spirit. I'll have to keep an eye out for when it's on next.
