Aibu?

Had guests to stay last night. It gets mentions casually the next day that he sleeps naked, I laugh and say something along the lines of "only in your own bed I bloody hope!"
..at which point he gets a bit embarrassed and she says "he can't stand wearing pj's!"

We swiftly move on and I mourn the innocence of my pretty sanderson sheets.

Aibu to think you should at least wear undies when sleeping in someone else's home?

Or am I being a prude?

When I have guests we talk about politics mostly.

SophiaPetrillo · 26/10/2014 15:23

What do you think he's going to do? Shite or spunk all over the sheets?

MiddletonPink · 26/10/2014 15:24

Prude.

You're going to wash the sheets right?
What's the problem?

WonkoTheSane42 · 26/10/2014 15:24

Presumably you would have washed the sheets before anyone else slept in that bed, sooooooo...who cares?

riskit4abiskit · 26/10/2014 15:24

What does it matter if you are washing them afterwards anyway (unless he left poo crumbs I suppose)

I would wear pjs but it wouldn't bother me if I guest didn't

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 26/10/2014 15:24

It wouldn't bother me, I'd probably wash the sheets anyway once they'd gone.

Penfold007 · 26/10/2014 15:25

Nothing a good wash won't put right, don't worry about it.

LaurieFairyCake · 26/10/2014 15:25

Be normal

Wash the sheets before the next guest

And not care or indeed talk about it because thats the bit that's bloody weird

MrsJuice · 26/10/2014 15:25

YAB astronomically U.

Follyfoot · 26/10/2014 15:25

You're being a prude... I never wear anything in bed and its never entered my head to behave differently at someone else's. What exactly bothers you about it?

scratchandsniff · 26/10/2014 15:26

You better check for poo crumbs Grin

InfinitySeven · 26/10/2014 15:26

I can't imagine what my guess wear to sleep. I imagine a few of them sleep naked.

As long as they aren't walking around naked, I care not.

perfectpeach · 26/10/2014 15:26

you sound nuts and anal

You must find him an 'ok' person to have invited him to stay, who cares how he sleeps?!

WD41 · 26/10/2014 15:26

Wouldn't you be washing the sheets regardless?

gamerchick · 26/10/2014 15:27

Pretty gross.. you have poo crumbs and dribble bits on your bedding as well as the half pint of sweat that wasn't soaked up first. Grin I wouldn't say anything myself there's no point. I do line the mattress with a summer duvet I can just chuck into the washer when I have overnight guests but I accept I'm a bit over zealous in these matters.

Strip the bed and air the mattress.

MrsKCastle · 26/10/2014 15:27

You can't dictate what a guest wears in bed. Sheets will be washed, so I don't see that it makes any difference what he wears.

IAmAShitHotLawyer · 26/10/2014 15:27

em, yes, be normal, like the other poster said

HappyHalloweenMotherFucker · 26/10/2014 15:28

what does it matter ?

chasingtheegg · 26/10/2014 15:28

It was a bit of random conversation, though we're all very good friends so not massively odd at the time.

Obviously I'm just weird then! Bedding always washed new for guests and ofc after..

Though I probably have more sets of pajamas than I do day clothes, since I just love them so perhaps I'm the weird one!

PureMorning · 26/10/2014 15:30

I sleep naked.
Pyjamas are for before bed

chasingtheegg · 26/10/2014 15:30

-definitely didn't intend to say anything.. just wondered, happy to be told iabu, I'd never considered what others wear to bed but as an avid pj lover it just seemed strange to me!

OP posts:
HappyHalloweenMotherFucker · 26/10/2014 15:30

I love pj's too, but H always sleeps naked even on the coldest nights and wherever he is.

He would think a host/ess that was icked by that to be a bit strange Halloween Wink

mynewpassion · 26/10/2014 15:30

Don't tell us you don't wash sheets after guests have slept, naked or not, on them. Now thats gross.

SophiaPetrillo · 26/10/2014 15:31

I physically cannot sleep wearing anything...I feel like I'm being strangled.

guitarosauras · 26/10/2014 15:31

I don't do pjs either.

Imagine how many naked bodies you've had in your guest bed without ever knowing Wink
