For those who don't know, this is the male alternative to valentines day which is all about women.

I think it's just a fun day. To be offended or perturbed is just that person being a bit too serious.

I'm a tad nervous of peoples opinions when I buy a big steak and some strawberry flavoured durex play tomorrow.

Just wondering what peoples opinions are to this? I've had reactions varying from a giggle to wtf is that? What a stupid idea.

Yeah we do this...it's just a bit of fun, and recognition of how lovely he is to me.

I did get a bit annoyed when he mentioned presents this year though! I don't go that far!

My DH mentioned this earlier.. Our conversation went something like this:

DH: It's steak and BJ day tomorrow Marbles
Me: Not for you it isn't...
DH: oww but it only happens once a year
Me: So does your birthday but you don't get one then either

To be honest if I decide to do the honours for DH it is on my terms not when some stupid FHM/sexist magazine related "holiday" says I should!

Any who...we don't celebrate valentines day so he has no earthly reason to have to take advantage of this particular named day!

I'm more perturbed by OP thinking she needs to be 'nervous of people's opinions' when she buys a steak & flavoured condoms.

Valentines day is commercial but it is also cultural and Christian.
Valentines day - Feast day of Saint Valentine; the celebration of Love and affection. What on earth is everyone's problem with people celebrating their love?
Steak & a blow job day is a laugh, a joke. It's not to be taken seriously and those of you who are putting others down for having a sense humour really need to get a grip or maybe something else

Never heard of this but just mentioned it to dh who is more keen on me wearing stockings when we go out for a meal this evening with his family. That I can oblige with... Perhaps we'll rename it sausage and stockings day!
