Pushed over the edge by benefit cheats!

I'm getting increasingly annoyed with my neighbours family, we're very close and have been for a long time, but they are just so loose cheeky it makes me want to do something! But at the same time I don't know if I should just mind my own!!

My neighbour has three daughters;

Daughter 'A' lives in a council property with her children and claims all her entitled benefits as a single parent. Her long term boyfriend also lives with her, and he works full time earning a lot of money. He owns his own property which they rent out to make more cash for themselves!

Daughter 'B' lives in a council property with her son and claims benefits as a single person, although her partner also lives there and works full time.

Daughter 'C' (this is what's really pissed me off today!). She is married and lives with her husband and children in their own (mortgaged) property. They both work and earn good money. She however has made a dodgy application to the council housing list and has been offered a property which they are goin to accept! They plan to sell their home!

It annoys the hell out of me that so much money is being fraudulently claimed, and that it is clearly so easy to do. I really want to dob the cheeky bastards in, although am abit scared they'll find out it was me! And don't know if I should just mind my own beeswax!

how do you know so much about their finances? I am guessing you've heard it all second hand through a family member of theirs?

McHappyPants2012 · 09/04/2012 16:04

Anyone can apply for social housing

Glitterknickaz · 09/04/2012 16:04

and I'M being pushed over the edge by benefits bashers! Thanks to you my family is going to have catastrophic reductions in the money we get to try and support our three disabled kids.

If you think it's that easy do it yourself. I dare you. You'll get precisely nowhere.

So stick that where the sun don't shine.

LadyBeagleEyes · 09/04/2012 16:05

Haha.
Mind you, MN has been a bit dull today.

horsesforcourses1 · 09/04/2012 16:05

I posted something similar recently, nobody believed me. All benefit cheats should be shot IMHO

AutumnSummers · 09/04/2012 16:06

McHappy is quite correct.

Glitterknickaz · 09/04/2012 16:06

People are dying because of benefit reform aimed at the sick which has all come about because of people like the OP. How many deaths do you want on your conscience?

Al0uise · 09/04/2012 16:07

If they are cheating then report them to the relevant people. Thrashing it out on mumsnet won't make any difference to you.

unless you've got pmt & fancy a row

ReindeerBollocks · 09/04/2012 16:07

Did they push you over the edge whilst stealing your goat?

If so, then it is serious.

MistyMountainHop · 09/04/2012 16:08

oh dear.

this will not end well.

Ineedadollar · 09/04/2012 16:09

If you think they are making fraudulent claims, report them.

Pablop · 09/04/2012 16:09

Glitterknickaz, why are you getting your glittery knickers in a twist, it's not the ops fault for your situation, she is pointing out blatant fraud, these cheating so and so's are the ones you should be angry at.

MrsDeeBee · 09/04/2012 16:09

If you are so bothered, OP then call the benefit fraud hotline and report.

Moaning about it here doesn't do any good.

mercibucket · 09/04/2012 16:10

Just report them if you're sure of your facts
And apply for a council house too if you fancy one

32 people a week are dying due to ESA reforms.
Benefit fraud is a fuck sight lower than the Daily Mail says. Particularly disability and sickness benefits which are being hit the hardest.

Because of people like the OP.

So that's why my knickers are in a twist. Because of fucking ignorance.

MrsMuddyPuddles · 09/04/2012 16:11

Alouise, it might also make a difference for the OP if she/he is a Tory and made up the entire story to try and get people taking about 'orrible benefit dodgers instead of how evil that party is and how to legally oust them...

JosephineCD · 09/04/2012 16:12

I do not know why people on benefits are so keen to bash people for pointing out blatant examples of benefit fraud.

StarlightMcEggsie · 09/04/2012 16:12

Ha ha!

This thread should go into Mumsnet Classics.
It's representative of an era!

FrankWippery · 09/04/2012 16:13

Or, as some on here seem to believe, all poor people should be shot. Would that work?
