Pushed over the edge by benefit cheats!

I'm getting increasingly annoyed with my neighbours family, we're very close and have been for a long time, but they are just so loose cheeky it makes me want to do something! But at the same time I don't know if I should just mind my own!!

My neighbour has three daughters;

Daughter 'A' lives in a council property with her children and claims all her entitled benefits as a single parent. Her long term boyfriend also lives with her, and he works full time earning a lot of money. He owns his own property which they rent out to make more cash for themselves!

Daughter 'B' lives in a council property with her son and claims benefits as a single person, although her partner also lives there and works full time.

Daughter 'C' (this is what's really pissed me off today!). She is married and lives with her husband and children in their own (mortgaged) property. They both work and earn good money. She however has made a dodgy application to the council housing list and has been offered a property which they are goin to accept! They plan to sell their home!

It annoys the hell out of me that so much money is being fraudulently claimed, and that it is clearly so easy to do. I really want to dob the cheeky bastards in, although am abit scared they'll find out it was me! And don't know if I should just mind my own beeswax!

Usualsuspect, yes maybe I'm being idealistic, but it really pisses me off when there is blatant fraud, if you're claiming as a single parent but really have a live in partner who is earning then it is wrong.

Avoid/evade.............still unfair.

And the wealth of the country being reliant on high earners is a theory, much refuted.

Bringing DLA into this discussion is frankly vile.

ABatInBunkFive · 09/04/2012 16:25

I would wade in with some facts but they will be ignored because it's much easier just to moan about benefit cheats, so i'm not going to bother.

Charades anyone?

AutumnSummers · 09/04/2012 16:26

ABatInBunkFive · 09/04/2012 16:27

I was watching funhouse the other day a proper one with the mullet and the twins, it was the 25 and 50 yokens too, a real proper funhouse, not the muck it turned into.

PosiePaques · 09/04/2012 16:27

Well I have a large pointy hat....but my nose is small

[riffles through dressing up box, narrows eyes at DH who thinks he's onto a winner!]

StarlightMcEggsie · 09/04/2012 16:27

A friend of mine claims she is a single parent and claims benefits on the basis of that, even though she has a partner that stays his maximum 3 nights a week but lives with his mum the rest of the time.

She brags about 'cheating the system' but she does it for her own sanity and self-respect.

In truth, her dp is a lying, cheating bastard that sleeps around and has since fathering her children, fathered many others with different women. His life away is for HIS convenience and lifestyle and contributes nothing practical to her life.

If someone 'reported her', she'd be in serious financial difficulty whilst they investigated and her children would probably starve.

usualsuspect · 09/04/2012 16:28

Cheers Mrs deeBee , bit early but why not.

AutumnSummers · 09/04/2012 16:28

You some kinda commie?
Benefit scroungers shouldn't get wine, they should lick rain off the spats of the rich

Fiendishlie · 09/04/2012 16:30

Anyone can apply for social housing, but if you have an interest in a property, you are not in housing need and will not be housed. Obviously there are rules regarding the need to sell due to not affording your mortgage, or being in arrears etc.
