Pushed over the edge by benefit cheats!

I'm getting increasingly annoyed with my neighbours family, we're very close and have been for a long time, but they are just so loose cheeky it makes me want to do something! But at the same time I don't know if I should just mind my own!!

My neighbour has three daughters;

Daughter 'A' lives in a council property with her children and claims all her entitled benefits as a single parent. Her long term boyfriend also lives with her, and he works full time earning a lot of money. He owns his own property which they rent out to make more cash for themselves!

Daughter 'B' lives in a council property with her son and claims benefits as a single person, although her partner also lives there and works full time.

Daughter 'C' (this is what's really pissed me off today!). She is married and lives with her husband and children in their own (mortgaged) property. They both work and earn good money. She however has made a dodgy application to the council housing list and has been offered a property which they are goin to accept! They plan to sell their home!

It annoys the hell out of me that so much money is being fraudulently claimed, and that it is clearly so easy to do. I really want to dob the cheeky bastards in, although am abit scared they'll find out it was me! And don't know if I should just mind my own beeswax!

A goat:

Milk them holy men survive solely on milk yer know
Handmade mohair products sold at premium lentil weaver type prices
Rental of goat for lawn mowering
Rental of goat for nativity play etc
Rental of goat for rides/petting

It's no wonder folk on benefits can be affording everything and everything.

IamTheSandInYourVagina · 09/04/2012 16:43

2-3 percent of claimants are committing benefit fraud.

(TUC statistics 2011)

So not "loads" of people at all. I could give a tiny shit if everyone you knows commits benefit fraud - it just means you should possibly stop hanging around with criminals - statistically the amount of fraud which is committed is tiny.

AutumnSummers · 09/04/2012 16:43

It's goading, trolling- all of the above. But maybe OP just couldn't wait til Bumsex Friday for the fun to start!

ABatInBunkFive · 09/04/2012 16:44

The currents cuts have sweet fuck all to do with fraudulent claims

AutumnSummers · 09/04/2012 16:45

Oi CheekyChoppers Where'd ya go?!!!

Maybe she's picking up all the buns.

usualsuspect · 09/04/2012 16:45

It's blatant trolling , but if you report I bet it doesn't get deleted.

TreacleSoda · 09/04/2012 16:46

Glitterknickaz I'm assuming that your 'first hand experience' statement is aimed at me, because I used that term in my post.

I didn't say anything at all about all benefit claimants being lying, cheating scum. In fact I didn't say anything at all about anyone being lying cheating scum. Hmm

I hate the way disabled people are treated, I hate the way they are demonised, I hate that they are humiliated into having to prove they are disabled, and I hate that there are so few resources to help families such as yours with a disabled child or children.

I also hate the fact that a small minority of people receive things to which they are not entitled. The fact that I don't like what this small minority of people do does not mean that I hate disabled people, or want to withdraw support from them. I do not see the two as cancelling each other out.

I also hate the fact that rich people can avoid paying tax, whilst the rest of us can't.

StarlightMcEggsie · 09/04/2012 16:46

No. People reporting benefit claims actually SAVE the tax payer money as an investigation gets benefits stopped during the investigation period.

So, why don't we all just report anyone and everyone we know has ever claimed and then hopefully the taxes can be given instead to private companies and landlords instead.

Originalplurker · 09/04/2012 16:46

Yes iamthesand

But what about sheep dressed as goats, I'm sure that is much more prevalent

Abra1d · 09/04/2012 16:47

'(TUC statistics 2011)'

Strange people to be quoting?

IamTheSandInYourVagina · 09/04/2012 16:48

Hmm, I like your thinking OriginalPlurker.

usualsuspect · 09/04/2012 16:49

Mind you it gives all the frothing right wingers an excuse to get their knickers in a knot.

Keeps em all in one place.

SuePurblybiltFromChocolate · 09/04/2012 16:50

It must be exhausting usual. exhausting

Savannahgirl · 09/04/2012 16:52

The people we should all be angry at are the bureaucrats who have fiddled with and tweaked the welfare system in this country over the years, so that we have ended up with the "arse about face" mess we have now!

ie, people who need help don't always get enough and people who don't need it "seem" to be able to get it very easily.

I don't know enough about the intricacies of the benefits available, but from reading various threads - it does all seem SO complicated.

Until the system is simplified and made more transparent, then we will always be having these debates about who is or isn't entitled to benefits

IamTheSandInYourVagina · 09/04/2012 16:52

Hey sue, how was your Easter?

Glitterknickaz · 09/04/2012 16:52

Yeah I grasped that after, Posie. Soz.
I'm just in a bitch of a mood and this corker popped up....

I dunno. Hormones and moving to a brand new free house maketh Glitzy a right cow. But I'm also sick to the fucking back teeth of people making sweeping generalisations based on the actions of a minority. Then using that to justify the horrors we're about to go through.

usualsuspect · 09/04/2012 16:53
Originalplurker · 09/04/2012 16:53

daisydoodoo · 09/04/2012 16:53

Well funny the op has disapearred? As so
Wine who did need social housing due to a divorce and a feckless ex who decided 4 kids was 4 too many and oh by the way I didn't pay the council tax, gas, electric either but I'll leave you with those love! I was told by the council that there was no chance of council or horsing association housing, so I find it hard to believe that these posters all live in areas where people are housed despite being in a home already?

All daily mail readers, who believe everything the papers and government tell them?

Originalplurker · 09/04/2012 16:53
