Pushed over the edge by benefit cheats!

I'm getting increasingly annoyed with my neighbours family, we're very close and have been for a long time, but they are just so loose cheeky it makes me want to do something! But at the same time I don't know if I should just mind my own!!

My neighbour has three daughters;

Daughter 'A' lives in a council property with her children and claims all her entitled benefits as a single parent. Her long term boyfriend also lives with her, and he works full time earning a lot of money. He owns his own property which they rent out to make more cash for themselves!

Daughter 'B' lives in a council property with her son and claims benefits as a single person, although her partner also lives there and works full time.

Daughter 'C' (this is what's really pissed me off today!). She is married and lives with her husband and children in their own (mortgaged) property. They both work and earn good money. She however has made a dodgy application to the council housing list and has been offered a property which they are goin to accept! They plan to sell their home!

It annoys the hell out of me that so much money is being fraudulently claimed, and that it is clearly so easy to do. I really want to dob the cheeky bastards in, although am abit scared they'll find out it was me! And don't know if I should just mind my own beeswax!

Glitter.... think of this as a gift thread, one where you can be very very angry....five minutes and switch off the PC!!

RuleBritannia · 09/04/2012 16:54

Well, I'll add my two penn'orth. What about asylum seekers who come here for the freebies and are allocated more per week than our own pensioners who have worked all their lives here?

PosiePaques · 09/04/2012 16:55

Rule.... full house!!

S'funny how trolls aren't generally tolerated here unless they're disablist or benefits bashing..... then they're just left to it.

StarlightMcEggsie · 09/04/2012 16:56

SuePurblybiltFromChocolate · 09/04/2012 17:00

"2-3 percent of claimants are committing benefit fraud.

(TUC statistics 2011)

So not "loads" of people at all. I could give a tiny shit if everyone you knows commits benefit fraud - it just means you should possibly stop hanging around with criminals - statistically the amount of fraud which is committed is tiny."

If I had one of those Facebook things, that would be going on it.

JosephineCD · 09/04/2012 17:00

Why do threads like this get so heated? Benefit fraud is wrong. Choosing to be on benefits is wrong. Having children that you know (or strongly suspect) that you cannot afford without resorting to benefits is wrong. We spend far too much on benefits in this country, and it simply isn't sustainable, no matter which party is in power. It's far better we do something about it now rather than just burying our heads in the sane until the whole system collapses and millions of people start rioting for food.

SleeepyHead · 09/04/2012 17:01

Yeah! I've just given 2 packets of biscuits. Only 2 left in the packet now.. oh well I'm feeling generous Biscuit Biscuit

ABatInBunkFive · 09/04/2012 17:02

Glitterknickaz · 09/04/2012 17:04

Josephine spectacularly misses the point....

SuePurblybiltFromChocolate · 09/04/2012 17:04

Those bastard forrin kids using our hospitals from afar.

GoatsRus · 09/04/2012 17:05

I saw someone on benefits today, they were out with their eleven children, all of whom were wearing designer Swarovski encrusted clothes, and also had a pedigree dog. The mother had had breast enlargements to pneumatic proportions, all on the hard pressed NHS while my gran has been waiting 13 years for an Ingrowing toenail operation.

I overheard em saying they had to get back to watch their Jeremy Kyle they had sky plussed on their full sky hd package. They then proceeded to use their top of the range mobile phone to order a taxi to take them 500 metres to their two council houses knocked into one! All paid for by the taxpayer.

On the way back the immigrant taxi driver, who has taken all our taxi drivers jobs, drove through a puddle and splashed a pensioner who had worked hard all his life.

Bastards.

Disgraceful.

IamTheSandInYourVagina · 09/04/2012 17:05

1.7 billion unemployed.
463,000 vacancies.

Look. I'm going to win this "heated" thread through the power of my brain, it will just make you foolish to continue trotting out your "facts" when I will be able to counter them will some ACTUAL facts. I don't want you to waste your evening vainly thrashing about and soaking your gusset in self riotous nonsense when you could be having a cup of tea and a nice sit down.
