Or is it because BBT is now and Friends was then? IYKWIM.

BBT is good, but YABVVU.

PersonalClown · 08/04/2012 14:21

I've gone off Friends since we ripped it apart-Feminist wise.
I love TBBT though.

HorseyGirl1 · 08/04/2012 14:21

YES! - It's got me through my pregnancy so far! xx

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 08/04/2012 14:22

I love BBT - but it is different to Friends. And it is very now. DH and I love it.

Sparklingbrook · 08/04/2012 14:26

I used to be able to sit through a Friends episode no matter how many times I had seen it but now I am 'oh not this one again'.

BBT I could quite gladly watch any episode. Grin

Oh I find BBT painful. Terrible. I actually have never met anyone who likes it before. Friends is fabulous. So ner ner na ner ner [busmile]

Sparklingbrook · 08/04/2012 14:29

Grin at dainty. More Sheldon Cooper for me.

Floggingmolly · 08/04/2012 14:31

No, it's just because it's better, full stop. No comparison at all.

ThatVikRinA22 · 08/04/2012 14:31

YANBU. i love it way more than friends!

maybe i should link BBT on youtube to the aspie bashing threads in relationships....

FallenCaryatid · 08/04/2012 14:32

Love BBT, never really got into Friends.

FallenCaryatid · 08/04/2012 14:33

So, dainty. Any people with AS in your life?

Sparklingbrook · 08/04/2012 14:34

I love all of the characters in BBT. I think in Friends they are quite annoying, it was more about the situations they got into?

The one with Ross's wedding in London is on at the moment. I can't watch it-unbearable. Sad

I live with Sheldon Cooper Grin....my DS has AS...i do wish he was as tidy as Sheldon though!

insancerre · 08/04/2012 14:42

I have never watched either of them. So don't have an opinion.
My post is pretty pointless really Grin

Sparklingbrook · 08/04/2012 14:43

Sheldon's relationship with Amy Farrah Fowler is genius. Grin

YANBU.

BBT is da bomb.

Friends is a lazy poile o'shite that can only possible appeal to people for whom a good afternoon's shopping followed by a date (I was like, Oh My Gahd!) followed by gossiping with 'the girls' is an ideal weekend.

ThatVikRinA22 · 08/04/2012 14:46

did anyone ever watch the xmas one where Penny gave Sheldon the napkin used by Leonard Nimoy.....i nearly cried! Blush

i absolutely love it....the new season started this week...

Kayano · 08/04/2012 14:46

I'm sitting here unable to think of a coherent response to this thread because I am too busy seething that my dad is sitting in MY SPOT and has broken the parental agreement.

Strike 1

SydSaid · 08/04/2012 14:47

Friends was great at the time. Tbbt is great now. I think it's not entirely fair to compare old tv with new as old tv does date - but I'd rather watch tbbt so on balance YANBU!

CoteDAzur · 08/04/2012 14:47

YABU. BBT is kind of OK, if there's nothing else on. Friends is brilliant.

Ephiny · 08/04/2012 14:47

YANBU, I love BBT, absolutely love it.

Though to be fair I did enjoy Friends, but there was so much of it (and so many repeats!) that I don't think I could bear watching it now.

Sparklingbrook · 08/04/2012 14:48

I have to say I am getting a bit mixed up with my seasons of BBT Vicar. I watch whichever is showing on C4/E4 and I did catch the behind the scenes this week plus the new episodes.

How many series have there been?

I was Shock to discover the stairs don't go anywhere-it's a dead end. Sad

OP posts:
LumpyLatimer · 08/04/2012 14:48

Vicar I know just the one and have seen it many many times

Also BBT has women characters who are brilliant, funny, clever, conflicted, and a thousand miles away from those half-assed 'characters' on Friends.

Amy Farrah Fowler FTW!

Sparklingbrook · 08/04/2012 14:50

Let's sing 'Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty for Kayano. Grin
