I loved the episode where Penny was sleeping on the sofa, everyone went to bed and Raj was standing eating a sandwich in the dark. His face was a picture.

I would put BBT, Friends and Two and a half Men all together as examples of really sublime comedy.

Brilliant writing and great performances.

We have some great comedy shows here but they're never consistently good - they always tend to start well and lose their way - something the US shows never do.

YANBU but I never liked friends, it was too sickly sweet for me.

God I love raj too. Combines my fetishes for geeky and dark and handsome men!

Did you Know that Amy farrah fowler is blossom? Does anyone remember that show from the 80s?

I loved Blossom, it was a fabulous show along with My So Called Life

Yanbu! Friends was very funny at the time but I don't think it has aged well. TBBT otoh is very clever on so many levels (i'm also one of life's "underdogs" as opposed to a "beautiful person", and Leonard is so sweet!)

Yeah Lumpy I have a soft spot for Lesley Winkel. And the 'moms' (sorry) Sheldon's and Leonard's -- are great. Hey, that's two actresses who used to be on Roseanne many moons ago - Sheldon's Ma was also Roseanne's sister Jackie while Lesley was Darlene, her daugher, AFAICR.

Also, Johnny Galecki (Leonard) married Lesley Winkel, Roseanne's daughter Darlene, in Roseanne. He was her boyfriend David in Roseanne.

I LOVE BBT! It's my favourite programme by a mile. In fact, I very rarely watch TV except for Bing Bang. I agree with LumpyLatimer about the female characters too. Way better than Friends, and I was a Friends fan too (still am to a degree, but it's BBT all the way for me).

Oh yes Ilove, I'd forgotten that -- he looked quite different as David.

I think there's a connection producer /director wise or something with Roseanne.

YANBU....miles better then Friends.
