I find the entire section rather bizarre..

More info, ok: I only read the first 2 threads. I found one of them very patronising and the other very silly. So basically i feel put off reading any others. Which is a shame because there are sometimes good discussions there.
I feel that some threads actually give bad name to Feminism and they think that they serve it. I find this annoying (after few drinks).

Read all of the feminism threads, but stick "AIBU" at the start or the end when you read the OP or title so you can pretend they are in here.

There's nowt in the feminism section thats sillier than stuff you'd find in AIBU.

Nah, YANBU. But understand that, like Politics and Religion, it is an entirely subjective forum based on belief. Belief is as individual as, well erm, the individual.

Keep going to that forum, it's good to put forward your views and have your beliefs challenged. It will increase your knowledge and understanding. If it gets too much, leave it for a while.

Let me guess. You get annoyed because you like men and wearing pretty things and you think feminists are telling you that you can't do either? Or is it that you've nvwr had the slightest trouble making your own way in ther world and you think women are equal now and there are no more battles to be fought? Or ia it that you think men and women are just different and some are just better suited to some jobs than others? or is it that you think prostitutes and lap dancers are making strong powerful independent choices in ther lives? Or is it that you find feminists strident and humourless? Or all of the above?

I don't really understand how a feminist posting in the feminism section about how a major cultural event in some aspects reflects the structure of the society in which it takes place, is in any way controversial, upsetting or irritating. But I shan't quibble, because as you say, it's the season of goodwill to all men...

Well apparently neither can Laquitar LRD as she hasn't actually given any reasons why she is annoyed/thinks the feminist section is silly.
