I love this guy, AIBU?

YANBU best person in the Royal family followed closely by his daughter--a chip off the old bloke. I think they are hillarious

Sensi · 09/06/2011 21:18

Isn't he quite bigoted in his views?

Alambil · 09/06/2011 21:18

he's interesting. I guess some of his comments may be put down to his age and the fact that old people seem to have the ability to put their foot spectacularly "in it"!

fuckmepinkandcallmerosie · 09/06/2011 21:19

He is bigoted and opinionated and not very PC but there's an honesty or something about him. I quite like him, despite myself.

frillyflower · 09/06/2011 21:19

YABU. They are all in-bred, dim, unpleasant parasites.

BornInAfrica · 09/06/2011 21:20

Love him! Very clever and very witty and gloriously un-PC. Fabulous man!

As for you frilly - you sound like there's something badly amiss in your gene pool

GoodnightNobody · 09/06/2011 21:20

yy, I often think to myself, 'that Prince Phillip with his casual racism and bigoted views, what a great guy!'

BulletWithAName · 09/06/2011 21:20

I LOVE Prince Philip. He's a treasure!

BornInAfrica · 09/06/2011 21:21

Hey Goodnight - pull that rod out of your arse - it's clearly not comfortable!

PacificDogwood · 09/06/2011 21:21

AA Gill thinks he is 'deeply unpleasant' - he must be vile Grin

PacificDogwood · 09/06/2011 21:22

Oh, and YABU of course

joogle · 09/06/2011 21:23

Seems to be like marmite!

OP posts:
porcamiseria · 09/06/2011 21:23

i met him once! very very posh, he asked me where we worked and I said "hammersmith"!

Pumpernickel10 · 09/06/2011 21:23

Not interested in him or any other royal if I'm honest, especially him he's a bigot the only ones I like are William and Harry

2BoysTooLoud · 09/06/2011 21:23

I think we will miss him when he's gone. I'm a fan.

Sensi · 09/06/2011 21:26

Yes he's exactly like Marmite. If Marmite had the run of the free press, was married to the Head of State and was a racist bigot.

Nefret · 09/06/2011 21:28

I think he is great, very witty and I'm sure he comes out with all those comments just because he knows people will talk about it and just because he can get away with it. Good on him Wink

joogle · 09/06/2011 21:29

Eh? By marmite I mean people either love him or hate him

TheSkiingGardener · 09/06/2011 21:30

He's a national calamity near a microphone and I think he's excellent! He's a product of his upbringing and background, and as we all know, that must be taken into consideration and WE MUST NOT JUDGE!

Wow. So it's ok to be a bigot if you can get away with it.

I think he's fab. An amazingly disciplined, loyal funny man. Love the story about the queen's coronation when he leant over & sang 'Where did you get that hat to her' just after she was crowned Grin

Also be wary of the racist / bigot/ nazi comments. His mother was proclaimed a righteous gentile & is commemorated at Yad Vashem, he had a very long war fighting nazis & fascists. Just because he's posh doesn't mean he's a wrong 'un.

TheSkiingGardener · 09/06/2011 21:36

Wow, so judgey pants are OK if it's about royalty?

Rainydaze · 09/06/2011 21:36

He's a national embarrassment.
