Just being curious, really. We don't get too many (eg) xxFreddiesMummyxx's on here, which I have seen on other forums. And so far, not noticed any Lucy R(3104703) a la Netmums. So, would anyone like to share their name choosing stories?
Mines taken (rather unimaginatively) from a song title, Don't Call Me Peanut by Bayside.

After a few hit and miss, I settled on ILoveThinLizzy - because I do. My best song in the whole wide world (as my 6yo niece would say) is "I'm still in love with you" by ThinLizzy.
It's not close to RL name, not confrontational, not arsy, not in your face.......just tame :)

After DS's birth father (gah... choke... bleurrgh) revealed he was living a double life with another woman who was currently pregnant whilst DS was still but 4 months old.... I felt like a 'wabbitintheheadlamps' which was my nomdemumsnet until I got my act together... then I was just wabbit, but wabbit was already taken so I was wabbitt until another (littlelapin) MNer who had bought wabbit in a MN auction of unused names donated me the name... out of the kindness of her heart.

A few Christmasses ago my DP bought me a toy reindeer on a keychain as a joke present because it was so awful looking. We decided he didn't have the right to be called Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and call him Ralph the Christmas Gnu. It just popped into my head when I joined Mumsnet.

This is the original Rusty Bear he is about 3.5" tall and was made for me by my mum to take to school in my pocket on my first day. He was originally a deep rusty red colour, but years of getting washed in my pocket have made him paler, and the darker brown patches are darns from when he got attacked by moths. He will be 50 years old in September.
