Just being curious, really. We don't get too many (eg) xxFreddiesMummyxx's on here, which I have seen on other forums. And so far, not noticed any Lucy R(3104703) a la Netmums. So, would anyone like to share their name choosing stories?

Mines taken (rather unimaginatively) from a song title, Don't Call Me Peanut by Bayside.

When ds was a toddler, sometimes we'd have a little "argument" as you do with a 2yr old, well, he'll go of in a strop, and sit by himself, behind the door, in the shed etc, I"d go up to him to make up and say "kiss for mummy" to which you've guessed, he"ll say "no kissy mummy!" waving one finger, "No kissy " Smile

This isn't my usual MN name but I use it when I don't want to be identified..

It was what my cunting darling ex used to call me when we argued..

I've been through loads! This one is because I went through a phase of saying everything's on a continuum, boring really!

Off the "speak Irish" Carlsberg advert.... the bit at the end where he says "Cíunas bothar cailin bainne" (quiet road milk girl)

I'm not Irish, just live in Ireland

What dh used to call me before we married, really pissed me off at the time, quite like it now.

Also use mummissinghermind which sums me up rather better tbh.

Mine was PinotGrigioBlush because I am quite partial to the wonderful world of Wine, then I changed Blush to Kittens as they have taken over my world and their thread has made me feel so at home on MN, they deserved a proper credit :)

I've been a couple of other names but none that anyone would recall.

I named myself after my first yacht Blush.

I wanted Cinnabar, but it was already taken (and whoever registered it hasn't used it for a single post, goddammit!)

Mine is something of a catch phrase of mine (though in RL use fucking not fecking)

It is a tounge in cheek reference to my laid back management style.

My own names I'll leave you to work out for yourself Smile

(incidentally, I'm of Cornish/Welsh origins, so not quite Scottish!)

When the Hindenburg airship exploded live on air commentator Hubert Morrison said 'Oh, the humanity'. It's one of those catchphrases that got corrupted by the internet and just seemed suitable somehow.
