Just being curious, really. We don't get too many (eg) xxFreddiesMummyxx's on here, which I have seen on other forums. And so far, not noticed any Lucy R(3104703) a la Netmums. So, would anyone like to share their name choosing stories?

Mines taken (rather unimaginatively) from a song title, Don't Call Me Peanut by Bayside.

The nightmare who lived upstairs was NN Kreecher by my DD because she looked the way he does in the Harry Potter film.
We still reminisce about what a cunt she was (although we use the word nightmare rather than cunt as DD is just 10)

TattyDevine is a shop in Brick Lane (and there is one in Covent Garden) which sells quite bizarre costume jewelery.

But the actual name sort of sums up my sense of style...

with reference to where I live (Beijing). Thought it was a little more subtle than old nn of Beijingaling. Nowt to do with politics or sexual preference (comrade is slang for gay amongst the local yooofs).

My DH misheard me revising for a dynamic mechanics exam when we were at university. Rather than "what is the velocity of the bar b-c?" he thought I said "what is the velocity of the Barbeasty?"

He imagined a herd of creatures, galloping across the countryside from pub to pub. It stuck.

It's a hawaiian Christmas greeting, but people think my name is Melika! Have an Uncle that lives there, always used to send us poor British folk a wonderful staged Christmas photo of their only child and it used to say Meli kaliki Maka on the bottom of it. We (me and sis) used to take the piss!Grin
