Wankerbastards will upset us that try, but we will still be dry. Or dryer at a push. It's a good job we are not in a rush.

Seedlip is £25 for mouthwash. WTF?

As I now know how to do photographs, I'm going to post one of my grown-up mug.

NC4, you are winning at this AF thing. And it's funny you should mention MadameF, as I'd been thinking about her this evening and wondering how she is doing.

Buck, hope your gamble pays off. Grin Glad DD's birthday was good.

Dionysa · 15/07/2019 22:25

My grown up tea mug.

AF wine tastes totally bizarre. Two Beck's blues and about a kilo of carbs is basically saint like compared to the weekend. Night all

longestlurkerever · 15/07/2019 23:32

Night all. Have been out on date night with DH. Was supposed to be to a gig he bought tickets for for our proper anniversary but it got cancelled boo so we just went and ate food and drank wine. Totally not moderate and totally lush. We actually haven't argued for a few weeks now. DH asked if I'd noticed him being more relaxed and said he had warned me that there'd be a rocky patch if he increased his meds. Which he had, to be fair, but I am not a robot with endless patience (understatement Grin). Anyway, feeling generally happier, if a bit sinful, so taking that as a win.

Results of horrible project out in the open now and insurers are "furious" so have donned my hard hat in true Mumsnet fashion but actually things have been much easier than last couple of weeks. Apparently the Minister's statement was "a model of civil service balanced language" which was definitely not intended as a compliment but fuck it I will take it.

Love the mugs! Mine are by no means grown up. Most have a Christmas theme of one kind or another and were stocking fillers of yore. The one I avoid is the naked snowman which is supposed to have sticker buttons and scarf on it and looks a bit creepy without. Proper grown up, me.

Dion, well done on the AF beer! Glad it was ok. I'll look out for it. I like the nanny state but it's almost the same price as proper beer and in my head this makes it less worthwhile.

That's really nice Longest - glad you had a nice evening with DH. And it's great that things are settling down with him. Long may it continue :)

Love the mug Dion. You're as sophisticated as me! I giggled at the naked snowman.

I have had an admin day today because my car's in for its MOT.

I was feeling really chuffed at managing to cut my tax bill by £600 and was just daydreaming about how I'd spend my new found riches when the garage rang and said it will cost me £500 to get my car through the test.

So 10 bottles of wine it is Hmm

Admin has been mostly DS1 admin actually. I am basically looking for an apprenticeship while he lies in bed.
He doesn't know it yet, but he has to go into college on Tuesday to sit an exam, which will vastly improve his employability, but I have a feeling that news is not going to go down well. It's summer, don't you know?

I was also supposed to have a meeting with the SENCO about DS2 but she's gone home sick.

The wine pull is strong today. It's this not working malarkey - I feel like I'm on holiday, albeit a pretty shit holiday. I can't see TUI selling all inclusives to a Lancashire mill town, with excursions including the school SENCO, CAMHS and the jobcentre, any time soon.

So I've booked onto Body Combat tonight, hoping that will kick my ass back into fitness mindset. We'll see.

thisnamechanger · 16/07/2019 16:12

Afternoon tryers, hope you're all enjoying the sun without gin and tonics

I still have the screaming heeby jeebies even though pissed up wedding was on Saturday. Sad

Has anyone got any booze free self care hacks I can pinch? I splurged and booked a last minute massage for tonight which will hopefully help.

Frouby · 16/07/2019 18:33

Evening all.

Am enjoying the evening sunshine sat at the side of the lake, ds is a dot in the distance off with the water rats so I have a bit of peace and quiet.

I wasn't dry last night, had 3 cans sat in the garden with dh. It was lovely actually and I don't feel too bad about it apart from the bloody sticky calories.

While I am sat here I will think of a new thread title, we have nearly completed another thread!

It's baking hot here! Supposed to be kite flying with woodcraft folk but not sure they'll fly in this weather!

Enjoy the massage thisnamechanger. I did a spa day during dry jan. Also have been known to give a legal cannabis tea a whirl! Frouby swears by kayaking, MmeF by running and NC4 by weight training. I like an outdoor swim.. anything to satisfy the reward craving really and something other than just waiting for bedtime.

Frouby · 16/07/2019 18:43

Right new thread in this board started, its called Wankerbastards and summer sunshine. If anyone is clever enough to do a clicky link to it that would be fab.

Last one out lock the door and turn the lights off!

@MadameForest don't lose us lovely!
