For me, it’s clearly a big musical instrument from the brass section. My son is convinced it’s a swishy cloak. This argument is coming to define our weekend.

I'm with you too op. Weirdly though not really like a trombone but really big more like a sousaphone.

I realised I typed out ‘trombolese’ instead of trombolees.

Thats because the trombolese is the travel version. It’s easy to mix up the two.

Thing is though, if he sells it she might not fancy him anymore. He’d be rich, but have no trombolees.

Completely agree with you OP - a brass instrument, larger than a trombone.

And to some people the trombolees is everything.
