The OP themselves said later on the escort was for coaches that were meant to carry migrants (but since the migrants weren't actually arriving at Gosport in the end if this is true those coaches would be empty). Therefore, rightly or wrongly the only people being protected by the escort would be the people driving the coaches.

So no, in a word, it's not true. The only people being protected were coach drivers. I am fine with that though TBH I am fine with anyone that needs protection getting it. I just don't understand why anyone would resent drivers who presumably pay tax and are citizens being protected. Or try to misrepresent it as immigrants being protected despite apparently knowing there were no immigrants there.... 🤔

He was approaching it and someone jumped onto it as he was approaching but I’m not clear who it was. From the background talk, it sounds like everyone had disembarked and then he slashed it.

I saw the video and there was someone in the dinghy when he was slashing it. He was acting like an absolute madman, screaming and shouting.

People do drown on these crossings though, don’t they? And women seem to mysteriously have simultaneous fatal heart attacks or get burnt. And people take tiny children and babies on these boats. Do you think all this is okay?

They’re quite a few videos, but the one I saw, someone leapt onto it as he was approaching. I presume that’s to ensure that he gets charged with endangering life or something - he should’ve stopped as soon as they did that

I don't have a problem with them receiving protection,I don't know how they calculate the amount of police cars needed per motorcade
It isn't calculated as a status thing though. So whether the drivers of empty coaches get more or less blue lights than the PM etc is neither here nor there...
