Shame his plan to abolish the triple lock (and replace with a double lock?) at the next GE, will see him out on his arse.

He was 14 years old during miners strike. In all likelihood he wasn’t thinking about the miners, he was thinking about Madonna.

I note he had a degree in English Lit, and has never had a job outside of politics

He's scrapped the triple lock.

In his first Labour conference speech as party leader and Prime Minister, Mr Burnham said the state pension would rise by inflation or 2.5 per cent in 2030, but the earnings link would be scrapped. DT

I actually think he's going to be worse than Starmer. I think we're in for a level of stupidity, blinkered ideology and mismanagement that will make us miss Starmer and Reeves.

I couldn’t stand Starmer, I just avoid Burnham entirely. Both are bad.

They certainly both are. I don't know why, but I started to get a sort of dread panic feeling about the whole thing last night akin to being in a car with an insane driver.
