Why travel so far to steal and RAF Fairford is pretty rural. The area has some fairly obvious security around it though. This isn't a place you would be out stealing fuel. They may well have been there to join protest outside the base perhaps but overall my bullshit radar is flashing.

Listening to the radio earlier, they were talking about the tactics that the Russians, in particular, are using in their “operations” these days. Namely to recruit a useful idiot via Telegram with the offer of some cash and ask them to do you a favour - “Just pick up this van and drive it to this address for me abd I’ll drop £5k in your account, no questions asked”.

If they get caught they can’t trace anything back to the organiser.

Same tactics were used in the fires at KS’s house.

She said that vision would be “warm ale, a black Labrador by your feet in a pub that doesn’t exist” and described it as “a very far-Right nostalgic vision of Britain that we don’t want to have.” • She was made nature minister in July and is MP for Suffolk Coastal. She said Labour must set out its own “progressive vision for the countryside.”

Now I understand why I saw quite an aggressive post from a tourist promoter up north… and my travels up north this year were a bit like that. I don’t know about warm ale but I definitely went to some of those lovely pubs. I don’t have a black lab but I petted lots of dogs and had lots of lovely chats with lovely people.

I bet she wouldn’t like it out here in Essex either.

The stuff coming out of the conference sounds nuts. Like they’re all locked in a warm room with warm ale, but no black Labs.

Well she hasn't been to Wales we've pubs galore like this, full of dogs, labradors , spaniels , cockapoos lurking under many tables. No-one drinks warm ale that I know of though.

To be fair it makes no difference whether @Worrall20 is in England or Wales. All AA claims for E&W are dealt with centrally by DWP. AA is not a devolved benefit (I don't think any are in Wales, unlike Scotland) and so there isn't a different system for claims from people living in Wales.

I asked myself that question a lot early on “ why do they hate us?” and I’ve given up asking. They really do hate Britain though. You probably weren’t on these threads at the time that I said that they seem to hate us so much I wonder… have we been quietly sold off already? And I said that Keir Starmer made me think of the song “ the man who sold the world”. Which was interesting because I didn’t know who had sung it and posters replied with lots of different versions! No wonder I know the song!

I looked up this character and she only had a majority of just over 1000.

I've just responded to something that's given me such a warm glow. It felt really good. Just like sipping a warm ale in a British pub with a black lab under my feet.

I suspect something like this is Labour's progressive vision for the countryside
