No. But they were already priorities…nothing new, nothing clear. And poorly communicated. He’s looking like the dud I feared he was from previous observation. I hope I’m wrong.

I’d normally agree. Except it didn’t seem to have heart either. It was halting and rambling with odd pauses. Very disappointed. And actually, having ousted a man who was making progress I expect more than heart from him.

He's a better communicator than Starmer but then most people are.. A leader needs charisma to bring people along with him. Adolf Hitler was an ugly little man but boy did he have charisma.

I'm energised by the speech. I'm hopeful, which is nice because I'm generally quite cynical. Glad there were no football references.

Can you explain the point then? I couldn’t see one. Rambly stuff about helping people. No clarity. Odd pauses that made it hard to follow. Poor in terms of both oratory and communication. I really tried to listen. Couldn’t follow or pick out any actual plans.

The point is the6 make no difference to anything practical, no. So why dispense with one then look a bit lost?

Not based on that he’s not. I’ve always known what Starmer was going to do when he finished speaking. It’s always had smooth delivery. That was vague and stuttering.

His speechmaking is something that can be improved and he has the summer to work on it. He communicates quite well on SM so I think he can do it.

Look? Maybe not. Sounded it though. It was rambly and stuttery. Maybe I’ve spent too long assessing presentations for GCSE English. I’d expect a politician touted as a great communicator to be better than a teen and was deeply disappointed. And a bit scared. So much scope for attack.

I’m sure it can be improved. But that is the ONLY thing tha5 anyone has ever said made him a better bet than Starmer. It’s very scary that apparently he can’t do it.

His speech was more or less a summary of the one he made on Friday. He was pausing then, with a lecturn and fewer distractions. Seems... To be... His... Style.

Having taught drama in the past, I thought it was a good speech. No fanfare and no flourish. You get what you see.
