I don't know if you have the time, but I really liked this interview with Morris Katz (Mamdani's media strategist) I thought he had some interesting things to say about the Democratic party in general, but one of the things he said about Mamdani that stuck with me was something like, (paraphrasing) when you step away from the issue of ideology, he basically just believes in creating functional government.

I noticed that too. Newest thread isn't getting much attention.

Even more interesting is that the old PEOS bunker was destroyed/dismantled when they bulldozed the East Wing and is currently being reconstructed to modern security specification. If we're lucky maybe they'll include a rubber room.

The PEOS systems and security have apparently been temporarily relocated and are operational. And I'm sure they've found a little hidey-hole for Scrotus to scuttle into should some big bad protesters once again 'threaten' him with placards.
