I met one at my daughter’s wedding - strangest places and sometimes unlikeliest people - but at least they weren’t shouty just persistent- I was unable to not be polite in the circumstances but moved the conversation on.

I hope there was a lot of alcohol to numb the pain (worked at the wedding ha!)

DH’s aunt (by marriage) is a UK Trump apologist. As his other uncle once described her - she’s a few goose-steps to the right of Himmler.

We only see them once a year or so, and in most things she’s good company and very generous, but woe betide you if the topic of politics comes up!

I've just been told that those missiles requested from Poland was intended to reinforce Kuwaiti defences against increasing attacks. Iran has been hitting them hard daily.
If you host a large US base on the grounds that they will protect you and they don't, where does this leave the relationship?

Also wondering whether the need to shore up Kuwaiti defences asap is because the orange madman (doubly mad after today's ballroom ruling) is about to put troops on the ground in Iran. If so, I hope the 🤬, Starmer keeps us out of it.

Well, he is sending some equipment (including state of the art anti aerial) and troops to defend our bases and allies. I hope we still keep well out of the offensive.

I think Charles should turn up to the WH on a track suit, or jeans and tshirt, with a cap. Let's see if any of the boys dares to ask him why he is not wearing a suit. Like they did with Zelensky.
