A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙 🩵

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

She is not just a "farming activist" though. She is a far-right promoter of the Great Replacement Theory. Would you really want her here? She made a speech ‘The Great Replacement is not a theory — it’s a reality’ which was banned from YouTube for hate speech.

Great Replacement | #TranslateHate

Great Replacement, also known as white replacement theory or white genocide theory, claims there is an intentional effort, led by Jews, to promote mass non-white immigration, inter-racial marriage, and other efforts that would lead to the “extinction o...

You and other posters said you didn't know much about Eva Vlaardingerbroek, so I thought you might want to know a bit more about her and her support of anti-semitic conspiracy theories. She is not a benign "farming activist".

Who among us doesn't have ideas others don't agree with. And vice versa. But we're supposed to have free speech.

It’s fine if I want to get the pro Labour take it’ll easily be found on other threads.

Yet Starmer was "delighted" to welcome Alaa Abd el-Fattah to the UK. Hmm.

And that was a monumental fuck up and completely wrong. But that doesn't mean we should welcome other anti-semites in.

TheNuthatch · 15/01/2026 10:40

Sorry for the c+p, short on time, but this is worth a read in The Times. Excellent reporting from them on this story.

A controversial mosque involved in a police force’s decision to ban Israeli football fans from a match in Britain was represented on the panel that appointed its chief constable.

Kamran Hussain, who was chief executive of Green Lane mosque, was part of the interview team that assessed Craig Guildford before he was made chief of West Midlands police three years ago.

Which rather proves Eva Vlaars point.

It isn't a pro Labour take. The woman promotes the Great Replacement theory. That is a fact. The Great Replacement Theory is racist. That is a fact. Her speech was banned by YouTube for hate speech. That is a fact.

Just because she is anti-Starmer, that doesn't mean she is automatically someone to get behind. But you do you, I suppose.

EmeraldRoulette · 15/01/2026 10:49

In fairness, I was going to say what @AnnasFangs just said.

Obviously, those of you who know me will know I was irate about the AAEF situation - and of course I will compare them.

If Eva V had been barred from entry under a different government, I don't think anyone would bat an eyelid. The bigger problems are exactly what we're discussing on these threads.

EmeraldRoulette · 15/01/2026 10:50

@DrPrunesqualer unfortunately I'm often up at that time - naturally inclined to night hours when there's no one to talk to around here! You can see some really odd bods on the other threads at night, though 😱

@TheNuthatch things keep popping up in online newspapers that popped up on social media about a fortnight ago. People have only just started discussing that Green Lane situation on here.

Interesting to know how the timings work on online media. Maybe they shove in the stories like this when they've got a gap!

Honestly I’m on this thread to get away from this stuff. I thought it wasn’t for you.

We are able to converse on here without these kinds of posts. And I’d prefer if it stayed like that.

My Muslim neighbours husband is breathtakingly racist, anti Zionist. I go indoors when he turns up to speak to DH when he sees him working outside . He thinks I'm uppity anyway. 😁

I think this is because Guildford was quizzed at a select committee only a few days ago, and it seems he lied. The home sec said yesterday that she no longer had confidence but he won't resign.

@TheNuthatch I think my brain is showing classic signs of damage from social media - it warps your sense of time, or it does for me anyway.

He was quizzed on the 6th January - and in news terms that feels like ages ago.

I think I need a news break...and an MN break. I was about to have one but then something stressful happened on Sunday - and I abandoned the idea because I needed distraction from that! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Badenoch has sacked Jenrick; breaking news on Telegraph!

redange · 15/01/2026 11:18

So Starmer is acting in a way that if it was Kim jong-Un would be rightly condemned as suppression against free speech. Anybody who criticizes him (including us on here) runs the risk of having action taken against them. This occurs on here with posters, reporting us to the Moderators .
AnnasFangs .

Are you the Labour Fan Girl who keeps changing her name, to post on this thread. Whether the Great Reset is a 'Racist' theory is for debate, however you can not be denied entry to the UK on the basis that supporting 'farmers' is against the UK's national interest. This, especially when you give British 'citizenship' to someone having openly Anti- Semitic views that would be in keeping with the current Iranian regime. The, fact is 'Starmer' and Co are operating the most 'authoritarian' Government, this country has had since Oliver Cromwell from 1653-1658 !

It's a breaking headline on the news right now. Apparently, Badenoch got wind of Jenrick planning to defect to Reform and to do so in a way that would be particularly damaging to the Conservatives.

CruCru · 15/01/2026 11:24

Sounds fairly decisive (Badenoch, that is). She’ll have controlled the damage to her and the Tories by doing this.
