I think if the alternative is to hand the keys back to Labour, or worse - the batshit Greens - a number of conservatives would hold their nose and vote reform - I would 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'd never vote for Reform. Tory or nothing for me next time (we don't tend to have any / any decent indies).

Interesting discussion on TRIP Leading this morning, which is with Neil Kinnock. He talks about how he dealt with the SDP whilst leader of Labour and how he’d recommend Kemi deals with Reform.

I think we'll see tactical voting on steroids at the next election, left and right. I will vote to remove Labour, whatever that entails at the time.

Did anyone listen to Starmer this morning? I missed it (on purpose), but from the commentary he seems to have attempted a bit of a climb down?

He basically said he doesn't want a trade war, but the future of Greenland is for Greenlanders and Denmark alone to decide.

Good to hear that he doesn't want a trade war. Macron appears to be taking a different approach.

Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to send an officer to Greenland.

Not sure saying it’s up to Greenlanders adds much to the situation it’s kind of a given but changes little, glad I didn’t listen.

I would vote Reform to keep the Left out. I prefer the Conservatives, but we cannot afford anymore fantasy economics.

I'm happy to rub alongside people who would and would not countenance a vote for reform and listen to their opinions. As has been stated again again, this is a board for those who hate Labour - plenty of breadth of opinion under that umbrella. And yet this board never descends into character assassination. It must be quite odd for some to see.

Starmer’s ego was way higher than anything else for the Chagos deal. What an idiot all round on that one.

I really don't think Reform would be any better. We'd go from bad to worse. Which is (partly) why I couldn't vote for them.

Lib Dems, Greens and Plaid, aka most of the left are all calling on Starmer to take a harder line against Trump.

I heard an estimate (details are skant) that these tariffs could cost the UK economy £6bn a year!

I'm avoiding all news for the rest of the day to stop my head exploding.
