And is there any way of changing it back . Like a klutz I gaily accepted the update but for the first time ever I loathe the changes .
My photos have been put into categories I don’t want . I hate the google search options , I hate the weird glass interface . I want my old phone back .

My iPad forced me to install it yesterday. I HATE it hence I came to mn to find fellow haters! My top peeve is they binned the split screen feature. I used to like having a you tube video for one eye and eg mn for the other. That doesn’t seem possible now?

I absolutely hate the Apple Watch glass upgrade as well. I can’t read the activities and it takes 2 steps now to get started instead of one.

I’m a month in and still hate it . Battery life reduced , some apps taking longer to load , finding information takes longer and more ‘ hanging ‘ .

I’m beginning to wonder if this is what’s causing my iPad to lag so much and only half open web pages and then freeze? It’s fine on my phone but my iPad is a nightmare these days.

Is anyone else’s phone freezing and stalling since the update? My phone is new enough so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. Just since the update. I hate it!

I have a Samsung S24 Ultra phone and love it. I do, however, have an iPad which has been glassed! I hate the way it makes the icons look slightly blurry and as if they’ve overlapped something else. The icons do look childish. I hate what it has done to my keyboard so need to find a way to fix that. And thank goodness I was able to change the clock so I could actually read it!

Battery Life is shocking. Went to bed with 100% didn’t touch all night, woke up with 70%

I don’t mind it, but how do I get the camera roll album back. I want to be able to scroll back all my photos. Without them hiding in separate albums.

I hate it, had to offload half my apps to install it and I wish I hadn't bothered but I can't stand a red notification dot!

This is happening to me on my iPhone 11.

Sometimes websites load ok but other times they freeze half way. Incredibly annoying. I hate it.

@Newmeagain I'm also on an 11 and have the same, it's pretty obvious they've built something in to force those of us with such embarrassingly old models to upgrade even though they mostly still run fine 🙄

That's not how software upgrades work. Better IOS software allows for a more secure and trouble free use of the device. Older devices become obsolete when websites and app developers utilise the BETTER features which are not supported by older systems. The only way to ensure this never happens is to not make systems more secure and keep one step ahead of hackers and malicious ransomware geeks.... yes it's annoying when a perfectly happy old device can no longer load apps or websites, but it's an inevitable feature of progress in technology.

I'm writing this on a ten yr old MacBook which has done fantastically well, still works, but will need to be upgraded this year. I've just got an iPhone 17 to replace the 12 - which I kept until apps I wanted to use were no longer supported. Developers can't keep doing security updates for obsolete devices.

I hate it too, the battery life thing is intermittent, some days it drains really quickly, other days it’s ok.

What has massively pissed me off though, is the update to my Apple Watch. When I’m running with music on, when it tells me my split for the kilometre I’ve just done, it restarts my song from the beginning and I HATE it.

I have an ipad which is five years old and for a while now I've had to offload most of the apps to free up enough memory to install updates. I was on 18.2 or some such. I've been expecting to have to retire it soon due to it refusing to install an update.

The 26 update arrived a few days ago. I didn't know there were problems. I had to factory reset the ipad to get it to install. I thought I would lose all my stuff, photos etc but I must have saved it all in a cloud as most things reappeared.

I don't use it the way you all use your phones so it is not quite such an upheaval.
BUT it won't install Instagram. There is enough memory and it downloads from the app store but won't install after the notice asking me if I want it to track me or not. I've tried answering with both options but it doesn't make any difference. Just sticks on a white screen.

All my other apps have re-installed without a problem.

I can log into Instagram through Safari but I prefer the app. Can't find anything on the web about it.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Maybe it is the first sign that the thing is close to dying on me.

For some reason the glass screens seem less obvious, but still there. I quite like them, anyway.

Can’t yet see any other changes, but so far I’ve only scrolled MN and checked email / messages, while listening to Radio 4.

Are the big ticks still there? I am sick of them.
