I bloomin hate IOS 26 , anyone else

And is there any way of changing it back . Like a klutz I gaily accepted the update but for the first time ever I loathe the changes .
My photos have been put into categories I don’t want . I hate the google search options , I hate the weird glass interface . I want my old phone back .

why does the camera app look so stupid and cartoony? Why is it such a faff to see other tabs? Who signed off on this and why? I demand to speak to the manager!!
tried to make a bloody phone call the other day and had no idea how to do it. It’s primarily a fucking phone, why have they pissed around with this function???
Also not really understanding the comments about the glass screen, maybe mine hasn’t done it, what’s the difference meant to be?

I'm sure my camera icon looks the same as before it updated, I'm on 26.2 from 26.1 something so definitely the latest update

Mine didn’t update as there wasn’t enough available storage. Been thinking I need to free up some space so it can update. Changed my mind on the basis of this thread!

I don’t like the Play School keyboard. Or the lower case everything.

But it is fast! (When it’s working.)

And I like Library and Collections being two separate things now. Collections had started to dominate the Photos screen.

What I don’t understand is why we’ve jumped from IOS 18. something to IOS 26?

Nothing to do with this software update but the thing that’s causing me to scream with frustration is

I got it when I got a new iPhone 17 last month. Hated it for a week and now I find it hard to remember why.....

I’m not a fan either but I can live with it, but I did wonder why my battery was draining so fast! Now I know. Oh the benefit of hindsight 🤦‍♀️

it takes me multiple pokes at the screen now to unlock the bloody thing - it gets stuck on the wallpaper photo. Anyone else having this?

Have you updated from 26.1 or 18, I think a lot of people on this thread must have updated from 18. Maybe that's why I'm not seeing any difference as I was on 26 anyway.

I do try and avoid the updates where possible so it’s totally possible that I’ve had about 10 updates in one go 😂

I hate the fact that it seems to take twice as long to unlock my phone - what kind of an upgrade is this that now doesn’t want to recognise my face?!

Oh, I quite like it.

I believe the battery will stop going down so fast once everything in there has updated itself, there's a lot going on behind the scenes and people always complain batteries drain quicker when you have an updated OS.

Apparently my phone won't support it or can't load it. I'm not too bothered

The jump is because Apple wanted it to match the year. Because iPhones have been out 18 years that's why it was 18 or something like that so they just changed the number because of this to 26. I updated in September and I did notice a lot of changes then, my update this time must have been just a small one, that's why it doesn't look much different.
