I bloomin hate IOS 26 , anyone else

And is there any way of changing it back . Like a klutz I gaily accepted the update but for the first time ever I loathe the changes .
My photos have been put into categories I don’t want . I hate the google search options , I hate the weird glass interface . I want my old phone back .

I am not keen , all style and no substance. It’s really difficult to use safari now and flip from tab to tab.

I unfortunately also have ios 26 on my iPad...
Loathe it tbh, especially the alarm app.

Like why do I have to press the exact location of the 'x' or 'save' button to close the set alarm time pop up. Whereas before I could press any location on the screen to close it Sad

Only thing I mind is that when I go to open it it glitches for a second and I have to do it again to open the screen. Never happened before.

Settings / Apps / Safari / Tabs / And you select “bottom”

My phones not coping well with it at all it keeps sticking and the battery drains like a sand timer

Before I updated I had 2800 unread emails 😳 now I have 800…. No idea what has happened. By the way to view all open tabs you swipe up from the web address bar.

The glass screen thing made me nauseous for a day or two.

I was excited to have the option of putting a photo background behind a text - but the first person I tried it with found it weird and disorienting!

The Safari function is just crap now. There doesn’t seem to be an actual Home there anymore.

Was relieved to find I could change the date on my opening screen to a solid colour - the glass looked ridiculous.

But I’m finding the glass screens quite cool now - I can see a clear path to ‘Foundation’ (the Apple version!) so feel I’m living in the future.

I have screen time set up for some apps, and half the time it takes ages to lift once I’ve put in the code, or just doesn’t so I have to re do it. It’s annoying.

I've adjusted the look of my phone (actually ds did it so I've no idea how) and it's less "glass" now.

I've personalised my home screen and it looks better.

BUT it's very annoying that my screen shots have been stuck in a different place! It's only this thread that's prompted me to work out where! I thought that they just weren't saving.

I always do the update immediately because I’m a massive baby who likes new, shiny things so take the risk I’ll regret it.

Also hate it for the above mentioned reasons, and also has anyone else noticed that typing seems more problematic than usual? Can’t correct misspelled words as easily, and it usually makes sense of what I’m saying if I accidentally run two words together. All that seems to be gone haywire.

The PP who said it looked like it had been designed for / by a toddler is correct. I hate the giant buttons, I can’t find my photos any more, my phone keeps glitching with an empty screen for a few seconds and I think it’s crashed but then slowly the screen icons return..
Absolutely rubbish update.

I hate it. Now when I take a screenshot there’s a large tick with options. I don’t require any options. It used to just save the screenshot to my photos

I also dislike it. My screen with apps on is not as glassy as others seem to have it, though.
Photos is rubbish.
Safari is so bitty and annoying.

Mine doesn't look very glassy at all but I think it depends on the settings and if you have a picture on it, I just have the weather on the home screens as I find pictures distracting.

I hate the clock but the digital one is even worse. Can’t see anything’s improved in the way I use it. To switch off the alarm is now a swipe not a touch so I have to get up to switch it off
