The most ridiculous thing about this (apart from the fact Trump got elected and is still not in prison for treason), is that the Democrats are considered to be dangerous “Leftists”. Farage is barely a centimetre to the right of them.

I didn't watch the Vance press conference (my sanity can't take it), but I did watch the Bulwark analysis. Apparently Vance said the agent is traumatised by having been hit by a car previously, when he needed 30 stitches or something.

So big question, if true, why the fuck is he on active duty? The very last place any law enforcement person should be is on active duty while traumatised. If true (again), he should be suing the government for putting him back out there.

Fuck every one of these people.

I'm pretty sure that's the aim.

Trump signalled it in his speech to the senior military who were summoned from across the world a few months ago. IIRC he was explicity about US Armed Forces (not just police and ICE) being deployed in US cities.

And in fact I've been expecting it since before he regained office, because provoking massive civil disorder as an excuse to deploy emergency measures, suspending normal rights and democracy, is a very, very common Step 1 in creating an authoritarian regimes.

Steve Bannon in particular has spent years studying how to create such a regime.

Attacking the press is a very Bannon thing too.
