Caroline Flack - she was so let down

Just watched the documentary, it’s so sad. She was treated so awfully by the press and police.

I feel so bad for her mum and friends and family 😢

I thought it was bad at the time but now I have a teenage son of my own I think it’s horrifying. 32 and dating a child- there’s no way you can excuse it. I’d be horrified if my 16 year old child informed me he was dating a 32 year old- that’s not dating at all, that’s grooming.

It’s gross in my opinion too but from what I’m aware Harry, his family and people close to him have never said there was anything inappropriate, like I said, correct me if I’m wrong. Time will tell I guess, maybe one day he’ll come out with a big story about being groomed, but in the meantime people need to stop going on about it.

Why should we stop going on about it? The way that children are looked after is of public interest.

When Michael Jackson had young children in his bed many of the parents were OK about it. Doesn't mean that the public has to be.

I think it points to all the danger of fame & celebrity. Caroline had many positive qualities.

One of my friends went out with a man in his mid 30s when we were 16 and at school. He even used similar wording as Caroline about her being way more mature and him basically being a teenager in a grown adults body. None of our parents knew about it and at the time but we all thought it was a bit cool and romantic. Now I'm older than that man was and I look back in absolutely horror over it all and although I'm not longer in touch with the friend involved, she did regret and suffer after effects of that relationship.

Nobody in their 30's should be dating someone old enough to still be in school. Regardless of gender.

And it’s bullshit isn’t it? How can an adult who has travelled the world, made millions and sold millions of product claims to relate more closely to children than adults?perhPs on some metaphorical level but in reality I very much doubt it.

Also there are and has been masses of kids TV presenters and to the best of my knowledge they've all managed to only date other adults (with the possible exception of Phillip Schofield).

Apart from using substances, drinking too much, being violent and controlling and liking teenage boys? Yeah, maybe she never forgot to to water plants before she went on holiday or pulled the legs off a spider.

It shows you how brown nosing the induatry is - to think non of her colleagues said “er, this lad can’t vote, isn’t he a bit young for you, he’s half your age and still a boy” and just said “great”

I think a lot would've been like "yay! The press are all focused on Caroline's antics so they're not going to be looking at what I've got going on behind my squeaky clean facade".

Maybe they showed up to celebrity parties together…where either she got pissed and coked off her head while he nursed a J20, or she facilitated his underage drinking. Neither scenario is exactly okay.

If the papers called it what it was, she’d have been seen as what she was. “31 year old Caroline Flack is fucking 16 year old Harry Styles” sounds a lot less glamorous.
