I have done the same to no avail

It's disgusting terminology on a parenting site. And I'm not even a parent. It's also disgusting that it was allowed to stand.

ilovesooty · 27/11/2025 22:16

Don't forget some of the terminology used. I reported a post referring to "serial breeders" but it wasn't deleted.

I reported that one too. Absolutely disgusting.

.

I’m with him there. I feel left now but I’m pretty sure I’m actually not. Or at least I wouldn’t have been considered so 20 years ago.

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/11/2025 22:58

There are a number of terms that I think MN needs to have zero tolerance on. Serial breeders would be one of them. Boat people is another I’d like to go.

Those things move beyond having a robust opinion on something and onto othering and dehumanising people. They are entirely unnecessary in any discussion and not allowing them doesn’t stop people from expressing their opinion. They just have to be civilised when they do it.

I got a reply saying they were "having a look". Obviously several reports didn't convince them that it should be removed.

PandoraSocks · 27/11/2025 23:01

"Popping out sprogs" should be banned too.

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/11/2025 23:14

Whilst sitting on your arse obviously 😂

Just in from To Kill A Mockingbird. Cried.
Also it’s depressingly relevant with its talk of scapegoating and prejudice. Aaron Sorkin’s route through the story emphasises that.

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/11/2025 23:36

Benefit Scroungers can go too.

I agree-Unless it relates to the Royal family.

That was my thought, too!

I hope Farage is having sleepless nights.

Nobody believes that Gill acted alone.

It’s just a matter of time.

I doubt it. That would mean he had a conscience.

Here's hoping. I too hope this all comes out. Well done the BBC for investigating.

BTW. He has just launched some new merchandise.

Farage is undoubtedly clever & extremely cunning, he is also very greedy hence all paid speaking jolly ups he goes on really hope they keep digging I don’t believe for a minute that he isn’t corrupt.

I’m glad DH is doing well BIWI 🤞 for coming home soon.

My mums cancer was found by “accident”. As in she had a lump in her neck but otherwise had no symptoms. Her GP was on it following guidelines and did a biopsy when the lump didn’t go with AB. It was peritoneal cancer that had already spread.

Absolutely agree with you about how wonderful the NHS is.

Bit of a strange article.

Labour made the concession to progress it, reducing it from 2 years to 6 months instead or 1 day.

https://www.theguardian.com/law/2025/nov/27/government-to-ditch-day-one-unfair-dismissal-policy-from-workers-rights-bill

I repeat: I may a well have voted tory.

Lalgarh · 28/11/2025 09:29

They could have kept the day 1 criteria but then it would have been blocked by the Lord's. Again.

It's still in ping pong stage. So it might not have had come into effect for another year, or longer

That far in I really haven't got the energy, but wasn't it a manifesto pledge ? So out of bounds to the unelected lords ?
