A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

Bracing for the budget 😬

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

I remember something about Morgan McSweeney’s wife too. Labour together (which he headed) donated £10K to his wife's election campaign. She won.
She was then given the job of to PPS to Rachel Reeves, and given a swish new office which raised eyebrows for a new MP. The SNP caused a stink about it.

I caught up with Political Currency on my way home, and they were giving an overview of Kemi's first year as leader.
George said that the conservatives are now raising more in donations than the other parties, and more than double Reform's figures. The last published figures are for Q2 of 2025:-

Conservatives £2.9M
Labour £2.6M
Reform £1.3M

I've liked Kemi Badenoch since she was one of the few politicians to have the moral courage to not indulge the madness of TWAW.

And I've been frustrated by how little attention the media have been paying her. Hopefully that will change, I think she would make a good PM.

It would appear that even some of the die-hards on MN are now throwing in the towel on this government.

It’s a sight to behold…

I can’t believe it, it’s like a light has been switched on overnight with some of the die hards!

And as an aside, I love this paragraph by John Crace in his Guardian article 😂:
“OK,” says player one. “It’s Keir Starmer in the Cabinet Office with the suicidal tendencies.” Yup. Keir had managed to sneak up on Keir inside No 10 and club himself to death with the lead pipe. It had been a long and agonising end. Every time Keir had shown signs of regaining consciousness, he had somehow found the strength to inflict further damage on himself. You could only admire his determination. Players two, three and four throw their cards on the table in disgust. If only they had got there first.

I just watched her in action in PMQs. She's definitely in her stride now.

I'm glad they're getting significant donations. It bodes well. I hope.

It looks like I'm not the only one signing up and making other single donations then.

Me too! Signed up after her conference speech and made a donation. I felt I had to give them some small boost. They are the only party facing reality.

For 14 years working class people suffered. They suffered through oesterity and through COVID and losing their houses, and the trickle effects of Brexit stop fooling yourselves.

The benefits and PIP claimants need a wage increase and dentures. All those who are hiding their money under their mattresses or sub floor help your brother's and sisters to buy playstation 6 and multiple flavoured vapes and hopefully housing benefit will be restored and you can have as many children as you want to stop migration. Let's make Britain great again. Let's use the Trump acronym MUKGA make UK great again.

I’m amused by “oesterity”. It sounds like a supplement for the more mature woman.

And the benefits claimants dreaming wistfully of a new pair of dentures and a packet of rainbow coloured vapes 😂Dickens for the Starmer era.

PlayStation 6 isn’t even a thing anyway. By the time that’s released, Labour will be out.
