They are special because they are Brits so can’t possibly be immigrants, no wonder a lot of the world dislike the British especially when we export some of the most stupid racist fools.
that was some drive in those conditions Blossom hope everyone escapes any damage, it’s been raining here all day & very very grey still warm though.

toooldforbrat · 14/11/2025 18:51

saw some videos in the summer of some N Irish having an orange parade in Turkey of all places! Think they also ‘parade’ in Spain.

Just driven back from Durham to Cambs in biblical rain all the way with the A1 flooded in several places. Hope it’s OK with you Cardi and Pandora, it looks horrific in Wales.

Tucked up my house and all is watertight! We aren't in a flood prone area and also at the top of a hill, luckily.

Karistyleaftea · 14/11/2025 18:54

Vile.

BestIsWest · 14/11/2025 19:06

DC are in Cardiff and Newport. One in Splott which looks to be ok and the other is on a steep hill so think they will be ok. We’ve had rain all day in Swansea but not as bad as earlier this week and last when all the roads around us were flooded and we were cut off.
Wind is bad though.

LittleBowSheep · 14/11/2025 19:08

I find cooking very tedious. I can cook reasonably well but it bores me. Luckily my DH loves it.

pointythings · 14/11/2025 19:19

I love cooking. Baking too. But sometimes, like today, I am very very tired and then it is very nice to have my live in DC do the cooking.

It's been very very wet here, took me an hour to get home from the office, which is double the normal time.

Wind here in the North West is terrible and showing no signs of dying down, chickens have been hiding in their house and the new fence we had in the summer has been damaged.

Hope all are safe and not too much damage

Same here with the rain and wind.

I love Swansea.
We’ve been to the pool a few times for competitions and are back there para nationals in February. It’s a very flat beach though so I can imagine in bad weather the road is liable to flooding?

My DD lives 8n Newport. She hasn’t said her feet are wet.

BestIsWest · 14/11/2025 19:47

It can flood but it’s sand blowing off the beach that causes more issues there.

It’s a lovely pool. I’ve swum there a few time. Good luck to DS in Feb!

I drive along that road every week for choir. Sometimes it’s a beach extension!
We are on in the Brangwyn in December if you fancy a night out. With or without identifying ourselves!

The sand 😍

I can’t wait to walk along there again in a few months.

Ooh, looking it up now!

LlttledrummergirI · 14/11/2025 21:07

I've been very glad to work from home today, although I had a hair appointment straight after. Due to flooding on the road in one direction and an electric cable sparking in the other, we got there 20 mins late. Traffic was carnage in town.

Ds1 completed on his house today, they should have exchanged yesterday, but the previous absentee landlord owner who lives outside of the UK hadn't signed the contract.
It's going to be quiet in my house once he's moved out. It needs a damn good clean first though, so thats my weekend sorted.

They can't blow down soon enough for me but the ones near me seem indestructible. Nasty grubby tat.

There are a lot of Trump appeasers around.

It's very foggy here this morning, dull grey day

As I said on the previous thread the ones near here were in a miserable state after the earlier bad weather - perhaps in a more exposed position?

DuncinToffee · 15/11/2025 10:50

Cheap plastic tat that will end up in our rivers, seas.

I just watched Simon Reeve's 'Tropic of Cancer' final episode with a Hawaian beach contaminated by washed up plastic.

Have you read the latest rumours about the Epstein emails? Hard (fnarr) to know whether it is true, it all seems pretty put there, but 🤯🤢🤮 at the very idea. TW do not read over breakfast/lunch or if you are squeamish:

Lovely weather here at the moment.

Who is 'Bubba'? Speculation sparked after Trump and Epstein emails

An email from Jeffrey Epstein's brother mentioning the nickname 'Bubba' could refer to former US President Bill Clinton, social media sleuths have speculated online.
