I did have a knitted snowman, at some point, but it suffered the same fate as the lovely and rather intricate elephant I knitted. DS2 gets nothing more precious than mass produced socks to unravel, these days.

BestIsWest · 10/11/2025 21:54

Yes Bella Coco on YouTube is what I used to learn crochet. It’s only taken me 55 years!

Looks like an admission that it’s a fuck up to me.

I can't see the fuckwit ever admitting that he was wrong about Brexit. I read it more that it was the 'wrong type of Brexit', probably because he wasn't in charge of it. It's always someone else's fault.

He had his chance in December 2019, but preferred to leave it to Boris.

Coward.

I’m in awe of all you talented craftswomen. I have found precisely zero crafts I can do at all. I can sew straight seams by hand or machine so can hem clothing and make curtains/cushions/table runners etc. beyond that my creativity is limited to music. And acting - I’m not bad at that.

I am currently knitting little snowmen for the babies at the church group I help run ⛄️ as part of their Christmas gift

I love those. I did a sparkly white crochet banner as part of a Christmas project and it was relaxing and easy.

I've knitted for all my three babies, Debbie Bliss, plus a quilt I added to.

What a disgusting man. Abhorrent.

Regrets his choice of words? Is that because he got caught?

That's usually the case. He seems to be a sorry for how you feel kind of person.

If you post on x you post for posterity. As the saying goes, there's no arguing with stupid. And I doubt he's sorry.

The gentleman's agreement is to stay off each other's threads so that we can have our own discussions without constant interruptions.

If the recent posters who are spamming our thread are on here with a name change, then please post your pro-Labour and anti-Reform posts here. It's getting fucking annoying to have our conversation constantly derailed.

Why assume it’s one of us? @strawberrybubblegum I'm sure there are plenty of other well-informed people on Mumsnet who recognise Tory and Reform incompetence and their past and current record. It’s also bad form to talk about other threads, don't ya know.

strawberrybubblegum · 11/11/2025 05:36

Just hoping to stop the disruption - you've stepped in before (positive peer pressure). Apologies if it's a random rather than a name change.

BIossomtoes · 11/11/2025 07:04

Insomnia is a terrible thing, isn’t it @strawberrybubblegum? What did you hope to achieve?

I don’t recognise the posting style of those quotes and I’m pretty sure I would if the poster was a regular here. These threads are regularly visited by posters from the Labour’s not working threads, I recognise them despite their name changes. Frankly, a lot of you appear to have an unhealthy obsession with us.

In this case the posts you object to look like the work of a random whose views are more in accord with ours than yours. Perhaps a more constructive approach would be to signpost that poster this way rather than visiting us in the middle of the night to throw accusations around?

itsgettingweird · 11/11/2025 07:28

I’m terribly confused?

is that a load of posts someone posted on another thread (everyone seems to know what thread they may be referring to?)

If so

a) it’s bad form to post others quotes elsewhere
b) people can post what they like anyway and

most importantly c) they are links and truths so what’s the problem with them being posted anyway?

I stick to this political thread because it’s a bunch of people with differing views - even across those who vote the same way - interspersed with interesting chat.

BestIsWest · 11/11/2025 07:39

I’m also confused.

@cardibach very envious of your musical talent. I have absolutely none. We went to see The Choral yesterday about the staging of The Dream of Gerontius during WWI. Beautiful music. I would love to be able to sing.

Efacsen · 11/11/2025 07:49

@strawberrybubblegum do stop this nonsense - spamming this thread with your 'suspicions'/saviour complex at 4am!

The posts you have copied don't look like they have come from any of the regular posters here which I'm sure your 'monitors' will confirm

Quit the playground antics, act like an adult and take it up with MNHQ if you are so concerned
