Yes, I'm bored.
Waiting in the car for DCs to come out of school so decided to clear out my bag and found my coin purse.
I have exactly £12.75 in cash to my name.

I’ve just checked. 72p and a euro.

FridgeJenga · 04/11/2025 15:37

Ooh you've just reminded I have random pot of coins in the centre console which consists mainly of euros...
(And a mini nail polish and the locking wheel nut 😂)

Haven't counted as there's a lot but I feel immeasurably richer now, thanks @PermanentTemporary

69,425.07 between 4 of my own accounts excluding the joint account which has 5918.

FancyCatSlave · 04/11/2025 15:40

About £400. It’s sat here waiting to pay someone who is doing me a cash job on the side* it was £450 but I have dipped in to it to buy DD shite at the fireworks.

*no, I do not give a shiny shit that he’s not declaring it

MurdoMunro · 04/11/2025 15:41

There should be £10 in a mug in the kitchen for the window cleaner but I CBA going and looking if it’s still there. Partner has form for using that for biscuits.

PepsiRelax · 04/11/2025 15:41

0 actual cash, I always use card, possibly if i actually cleaned the car I might find some coins, but they will have been there for years if they exist, so would at best be pennys.

That’s not cash, we aren’t doing savings. What do you have in your pocket?

FridgeJenga · 04/11/2025 15:42

ETA - "a lot" is relative.
(what I really meant was I cba!)

I think there’s a ten pound note somewhere, a pound for the roller in the car and a few coppers in my purse.

FrodoBiggins · 04/11/2025 15:44

I thought i had a folded up twenty pound note in the back of my phone case and another folded up tenner in the side pocket of my most used bag (smugly about to tell you all that it is so important to have a bit of cash for emergencies) and on further inspection I seem to have neither. Probably spent it all on chips while pissed.

oooh…cold hard cash…😂😂 well I have about €80 in a drawer I think…maybe a euro or two in a bag somewhere. My dc has a piggy bank too 🤣🤣

Wowisthisit · 04/11/2025 15:45

I possibly have a fiver somewhere but my husband may have taken it for his hair cut. If so, zero.

didgeridid · 04/11/2025 15:46

Got about £6 in £2 coins for when the ttoh fairy visits 😂

CheeseNcrackerz · 04/11/2025 15:46

around £26k? It’ll mostly go into s&s isa when next fy starts

Allaboutthecats · 04/11/2025 15:46

20 quid and my partner's loose change jar. And our daughters' piggy banks (assuming they're fair game)

Catpiece · 04/11/2025 15:47

Ready cash to hand? Tenner in my purse plus some shrapnel

REDB99 · 04/11/2025 15:48

I have about £30 of £1 coins in a piggy bank. In a drawer I have some 50ps with different designs on which I’m keeping in case they’re worth anything, probably about £5 worth.

mindutopia · 04/11/2025 15:48

Oh we’re doing actual cash, not money at your disposal. I don’t generally use cash for anything. I have probably £20 give or take in money we take at our roadside produce stand.

Dh sometimes has cash if people pay him in cash (because some people are weird and insist on cash). It’s all declared through our accounts, but we don’t really have a bank nearby to deposit it, so it stays in the house. Maybe £500 at any given time. But depends if we’ve needed to spend it when someone else only takes cash. It lives in an envelope in the back of the hall cupboard.

StrawberryJangle · 04/11/2025 15:48

52p and nothing in the bank until next Monday.

I'm feeling marvellous.

Catpiece · 04/11/2025 15:50

The thread is about cash on your person not ISAs, savings and pension pots

PermanentTemporary · 04/11/2025 15:50

Likewise, I’ve just found a jar of small coins that I’d forgotten about. I used to raid it for the PTA cake sale, poor treasurer.

I do have more money than 72p, I was focusing on physical cash.

LadyDanburysHat · 04/11/2025 15:51

In cash money, I have around 20 euros and £2.85

popcornandpotatoes · 04/11/2025 15:52

Probably a few £1 dotted around. I know 7 year old DD has £15 in her purse I could nab and replace in an emergency. That's it

JustReacher · 04/11/2025 15:52

None at all

NikkiPotnick · 04/11/2025 15:53

£17.35. I'm more Euro rich at the moment, got 50 of those bad boys in a draw!
