Yes, I'm bored.
Waiting in the car for DCs to come out of school so decided to clear out my bag and found my coin purse.
I have exactly £12.75 in cash to my name.

@Sprogonthetyne the DCs are always invariably much more cash rich than us.
Between them, I reckon they've easily got over £500 in their piggy banks. Visiting relatives are always handing them paper money 😳 *
I really should get it all into their bank accounts.

* Just like Johannes in Amandaland 😂

I have - and quite often ...

EmeraldDreams73 · 04/11/2025 16:43

Actual cash, about 40 quid because a couple of people came for extra lessons in half term. Otherwise, probably a fiver or so in parking change but God knows where. I've cleared out a couple of handbags lately and there wasn't much there!

Refreshing0 · 04/11/2025 16:44

£6.48p in the side of my backpack 140 thai baht in my passport in the bottom of my bag and 12 yen on top of the fridge.
I should really get it all changed.

almondflake · 04/11/2025 16:47

£75.05

LarrySherbert · 04/11/2025 16:48

I have my trolley pound!

Blingismything · 04/11/2025 16:50

£35.00ish

ThatNaiceMember · 04/11/2025 16:52

I think I have about 25p. Reckon I could achieve about £15 if I shook the kids down though 😀

Nigellastwinklylights · 04/11/2025 16:53

Sterling £21.20. £1 in my gym bag for the locker. £20 emergency cash in the a drawer in the hallway. 20p in the bottom of my bag. I also have various foreign coins and notes in the kitchen drawer of doom. Some of the currency is from countries we’ve never visited!

MrsBeltane · 04/11/2025 16:53

No UK cash, but I do have $900 hidden away.

I love how everyone has random foreign currency 😂

I have more foreign money that sterling which is a combination of Euros (DH is from mainland Europe so we never bother to change it between visits), Yen (in the hope of returning to Japan one day), USD, Nicaraguan Cordoba (because I've yet to find anywhere yo actually change it) and some Zloty which is too small amount to change.

pinkspeakers · 04/11/2025 16:55

Actual notes and coins? Very little. I dont really use cash any more and get slightly irritated when I have to, or when someone dumps a load on me.

shhblackbag · 04/11/2025 16:56

I found 7 pounds in my bag. So that's that.

Mimilamore · 04/11/2025 16:58

£8.80….

BunnyLake · 04/11/2025 16:58

Zero. I don’t carry money anymore. I’m not royalty but there’s no need now.

Pregnancyquestion · 04/11/2025 16:59

£2.70 in the car. I did have £350 in cash after selling my old phone and when I went to put it in the bank there was only £250 there. Either I have a phrogger or I have a £100 somewhere in the house. I live in hope of coming across it!

I love how everyone has random foreign currency 😂

Oh yeah, a few € $ Kenyan shilling (from our honeymoon) and some Icelandic Kroner in the safe and a Lake District £5 I bought because it was pretty.

LifeSucksBigFatBalls · 04/11/2025 17:02

Well i did have £5 in my phone that i have had for months, even maybe a year.
But i spent it yesterday on some colouring books 🤣

So afew coins in the car for parking, so just a couple of quid !

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 04/11/2025 17:04

$2.17

Also 2 x 5 Euro notes. I have no idea why - I was convinced I had a 20 pound note.

And some coins I don't recognize.

Catwalking · 04/11/2025 17:20

£9.10 in purse & …
a bag of churchill crowns in a bag somewhere in the house 🤭

Topbird29 · 04/11/2025 17:21

Have a five pound note and some loose change in my purse, and probably a fiver or so in change in a pot (mostly 5p and coppers). My DH has a bit in his top drawer - every time the kids ask him to get a nintendo or vbucks voucher they give him cash from their pocket money, which he then keeps (and never gets around to putting in the bank). So he has a couple of hundred i expect. Which would be useful in an emergency if can't use card!

80smonster · 04/11/2025 17:23

£24.20 - emergency taxi fare/trolley & gym coins
€67.00 - keep forgetting to pop back in my currency file

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 04/11/2025 17:24

£7.48
€21.82
$20 Singapore Dollars
$5USD

Bizarrely not 1 coin from the country I actually live in.

EDIE: Tell a lie, just found 257,70dkk

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 04/11/2025 17:26

£150 in the drawer for 3 x DN Christmas envelopes and £100 that we keep just in case plus about £5 in my purse.

Tarkan · 04/11/2025 17:27

We have two money boxes in the house for change, one for silver and one for coppers. They weren’t long emptied out and counted so maybe just back to a couple of quid in it. Maybe around a tenner in pound coins between me and DH, we won the bonus ball at our local pub on Saturday so we did have £59 in cash then but it’s been handy for little shop buys and a couple of drinks in the pub. Not sure what my kids have. Most of their money is in bank accounts but we do have family members who gift cash still.

Riddo · 04/11/2025 17:28

At the moment I have £25 in pennies as I’m saving them up to use on the downstairs loo floor. Also £23 ish in cash in my purse.
