Yes, I'm bored.
Waiting in the car for DCs to come out of school so decided to clear out my bag and found my coin purse.
I have exactly £12.75 in cash to my name.

£25 in notes given to me by a friend to pay her son's entry for something we did last week. A couple of quid in very small change in my wallet and if I check the penny pot under the sink, whatever that adds up to. Maybe £10ish?

I actually use cash quite a bit as dh often brings it home from smaller jobs.

SparklyCardigan · 04/11/2025 16:17

About £35 but only because someone came round to buy an item from me and paid me the thirty quid in cash.

Calliopespa · 04/11/2025 16:17

Cold hard cash? Quite possibly nothing.

That's what the dc's piggybanks are for.

AnonKat · 04/11/2025 16:17

I have a jar of random currency. I never have pounds though! Which is a bit silly really

BarnacleBeasley · 04/11/2025 16:17

£2.81, 1.50 in Turkish lire, and 1 Icelandic krone. But I'm pleased I looked as it turns out I also have a whopping £120 in farm shop vouchers, so I'll be okay if I want to buy locally-reared beef or overpriced rustic homewares.

Same here. Love it when he comes home and hands me £50 to pay into the bank. I generally keep it in my purse forget and then use it for coffees when I'm in the office 😍

blizymitzy · 04/11/2025 16:19

£78.32
dh cleared out a piggy bank that we had forgotten about and it’s sitting in the kitchen drawer
£1 in my purse for trolleys

Missey85 · 04/11/2025 16:19

$70 but that's for food for the week no nothing really 🙁

cottonwoolie · 04/11/2025 16:20

Cash in hand? 500 euros that I haven't got around to changing (gift) & maybe £4

tinyspiny · 04/11/2025 16:20

Actual cash without getting any from the bank £26 in my purse , £15 in one pound coins in the car and a pot of loose change which has probably got £30 in it . I also have €300 in my France wallet .

Jellycatspyjamas · 04/11/2025 16:21

I found €50 euro note in the lining of my bag, which is great because I thought a pick pocket had got it in Athens. I also have random bit of money dotted around the house in various money jars but no idea how much.

Cheeseplease19 · 04/11/2025 16:21

500 Australia dollars.Going to Oz very soon 🥳

jay55 · 04/11/2025 16:21

No sterling. But have about 200 euro and 900usd in an envelope somewhere.

nellly · 04/11/2025 16:22

Statsquestion1 · 04/11/2025 15:54

Well it’s cash in accounts but not physical no…imagine it all in my mattress 😂

Haha I did assume that but just checking 😁 even in large notes your mattress would be 4ft off the ground and need a ladder 😂

£40 in my purse and £3.53 loose in a drawer op 🙌🏼

Digdongdoo · 04/11/2025 16:23

Physical cash, about £12. Then about £200 worth of various other currencies.

3hairspastfreckle · 04/11/2025 16:23

10e and shrapnel

Sprogonthetyne · 04/11/2025 16:24

If we're allowed to steal from our children, I have two envelopes totaling £240 (both children have had birthdays recently, and card money hasn't been put in bank yet).

If it's just our own I have £17 in the ice cream van money stash and about 80 euros

olderbutwiser · 04/11/2025 16:25

£14.36p which is quite a lot more than I expected. DH has a stash somewhere I could probably find if I was being held to ransom, possibly as much as £10 in small coins.

Sgtmajormummy · 04/11/2025 16:25

€40 in my purse (plus maybe €4 in coins) and €150 in the safe.
It was €50 but I went to the watchsmith today to replace a battery and take in one with a broken clasp.
Even the bus takes card and I rarely go out for coffee, so it’s just in case of emergencies.

overstimulatedhermit · 04/11/2025 16:26

Around £4000 in my house and £8000 at my mums who lives round the corner from me. I pay cash for everything and only use my bank for direct debits.

waitamo · 04/11/2025 16:26

40 quid in my card wallet
8 quid in coins for the supermarket trolley and the old fashioned parking meters (lots round here still).
40 quid for the grass cutting man (last cut of the year) including his Xmas tip.

FridgeJenga · 04/11/2025 16:27

ldnelegantelephant · 04/11/2025 16:14

I'd be lucky to find £1 for the trolley hun

I did have a trolley coin there too! Plus 3 hair clips and a lipsyl.
Prepared for all eventualities, me 💪
