Is 14 pairs of jeans enough?

I’m moving house and culling my entire wardrobe. I’ve sold so much on Vinted, and have a load more to sell.

I probably used to have 40 pairs of jeans and I’ve now got this down to 14. Is that enough?

I have two! And for most of my life had one..I'm not poor, and never have been tbh. I just thought that was normal. 40?!? I think you'll be just fine with 14 :)

Well I have two and tend to wear the same pair most weekends, the other pair is useful when off work. So I would say that’s more than enough!

14 is a lot. 40 is a pointlessly high number because either you wear them on strict rotation or some won't get worn.

I'd say anything between 2-6 pairs is enough.

Sell the ones with tags. They're not important enough to keep/wear so don't waste headspace on those.
How many pairs do you wear? Sell the others, then, if your want more, but a few extra pairs. But only if they are different to the ones you own, and your will actually wear them....

I think I have 8 or 10 pairs of jeans so I do understand having different styles/washes/lengths etc. But I’d love to know how the 14 is made up - could you list them here??

I have 2 pairs. Not sure why I’d need more. Do you only wear jeans? I also have chinos / cords / trackies and some dresses.

How often do you wear jeans? And how many days wear do you get out of them before they get washed?
I used to wear jeans every day. Used to get 4-5 days wear out of them usually (with a clean t shirt every day) and at that time I owned 4 pairs I think which was plenty.
Nowadays I almost never wear jeans (once a year maybe) so one pair is fine.

14 pairs is way too many. 40 is ridiculous. Choose you favourite 5 pairs and sell/donate the rest.
