Is 14 pairs of jeans enough?

I’m moving house and culling my entire wardrobe. I’ve sold so much on Vinted, and have a load more to sell.

I probably used to have 40 pairs of jeans and I’ve now got this down to 14. Is that enough?

Well unless you only do laundry once a fortnight and wear nothing but jeans, I'd say it is more than enough. I have 2 pairs.

I probably have 14! There are a lot of different styles of jean. It's not just 14 pairs of the same trousers. It's enough though!

I have no jeans. I have 3 pairs of trousers. It’s fine. I would be pissed at having to store 14 pairs. My dd loves clothes and I think she only has about 4 pairs.

This should be said on the bed linen thread tbh…people over there proclaiming they have 10 duvets for their bed!

I think people are being unkind to the OP! I have many, many jeans, at least 30. Some are 15 years old. Black, blue, high waist, smart, very casual, skinny, biker, straight, relaxed. Only one pair is newish-the 'mom' jeans, i'm not sure about them.
After weight loss I have rediscovered some old favourites and got rid of the very dated ones and the bigger sizes.

14 pairs of jeans is insane to me - I've probably got 14 'bottoms' altogether. So yes I think that's plenty!

I have 3 grey, black and dark blue, I’m jealous of mners with heaps of wardrobe space (see also thread with how many duvet covers) my drawers could cope with 40 jeans 😆

Yes 40 was stupid. But also it’s easy to lose track over the years, I have more than enough storage for all my clothes. But realised it’s excessive and actually I’d rather people benefit from it. I sold a bundle of 3 new jeans for £8.

But yes it’s a big cull to get rid of 26 pairs. I also couldn’t be doing with 2 pairs of trousers on rotation, and doing a wash that often. But that’s personal preference.

I have one pair. I don't really like jeans, I find them uncomfortable. 14 pairs is so many and 40 is insane.

Really? I’ve made around £7K this year from Vinted.

I think it comes down to brands and photos though. Also I randomly gained followers on there so maybe that boosted my sales.
