A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

On the international stage Starmer is such an inconsequential fool. (Anyone still up for the Coalition of the Willing?)

On the home front he’s just a destructive bungler.

Given the average reading age leaving school, is 11 (apparently), this seems like quite a reach. Who is going to teach the hundreds of thousands of migrants, ‘A Level English’? Who’s paying for it?

I've just seen the most extraordinary video

I can't link, but you can probably find it

Filmed in King William Court in Chelmsford

I realise there are issues with some of these people who go around filming "asylum seeker"accommodation. I couldn't help but wonder if it was staged in some way because one of the residents didn't realise he was being filmed and actually invited two guys from the outside world,up to his room - I'm not sure what that's about - so they managed to film that.

Spotlessly clean, obviously they have cleaners, apparently very hot in there cause the heating was on!

Downstairs in reception, noticeboard included scanning for feedback about their stay in the accommodation

and free English lessons.

but the thing that really got me was the scanning the QR code for a GP appointment.

As I'm not white, would it make more sense for me to try and cross the channel on the dinghy? Or at least appear as if I have. I should've tried that in summer.

The cost of this as well - as all the other implications. These guys on YouTube get a lot of views...I'm not sure if the establishment has worked that out or if they really understand how angry people are.

Also, I'm wondering how we go about changing the judicial system. If you think about the levels of corruption we've got in this country, you'll go mad. My mum is 86 and she was saying that she has never seen anything like what's going on now.

Is Michelle Mone having to pay back any money?

It'll just be new visa applications, presumably? I don't think we'll be putting migrants on planes because they split the infinitive.

DH is going to do his Life in the UK test to upgrade his ILR to citizenship and that is enough of a pain in the arse. Now he's testing me and I suspect that I might not pass for English at all. 😬

I dunno. One of our visitors earlier was wanging on about the inherited black hole. Failing to notice Labour have managed to more than double it themselves in less than 18 months!

At least the bloody Tories had Covid as a once in a lifetime reason for the black hole!
