Labour isn't working - Thread 12

A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

It's because people were using it mockingly - ask me how I know (24 hour ban). In my defence, the poster I did that to was being bloody ridiculous. It went shortly thereafter so possibly partly my fault.

Don't the wee flowers have sufficient resilience to ignore it? Seriously, what is the world coming to. I'm sick of all this 'be kind' bollox.

Amen to that.

Style it out with lies, deflection and gaslighting, as per.

Blame someone else then. Plus if it’s all good the budget won’t need more tax rises.

Labour supporters were using it that way too. I've had loads of them thrown at me on other threads, particularly pre-election. I used to get them on the early versions of this thread too. I never reported it though.

Exactly, all is well. We can all relax 🙄

Do Labour supporters buy food? 🤔

But, but but! It's not Labour's fault! It's those millionaire farmers and supermarkets raking in all those profits (sarc).

Ah yes, I forgot. Never mind, Labour are going to reduce our energy bills by £300, that should cover it. 😉
I was looking forward to having 'more money in my pocket', but apparently I'm not a 'working person'.

😂 By the time we get this £300 off our utility bills it'll only be worth a tenner.

I’m wondering what percentage of this stellar economic growth is due to govt investment - the other eu countries are slightly further down the imf bail out path so presumably this explains our current projections….

There’s high borrowing going on in some EU countries. No matter what some say to spin it as good it costs and destabilises.

Rivalled · 14/10/2025 16:31

Oh I agree - I’d love to see a breakdown of where this growth is from, by sector.

TheNuthatch · 14/10/2025 16:33

I keep reading that Reeves is set to blame everything on Brexit.

So is it going well or they need something to blame, if only Labour could get their gaslighting in order.

I don’t mind if we tick along to the next GE as long as they’re out then. Supercilious and lying sods they are.

It makes a change from blaming the tories I suppose. Now switching to blaming Farage.

I really hope she does that - perhaps she will try the old waterworks again too.

Perhaps Ange should make a comeback to replace her as Chancellor - we know that she can make the numbers fit the narrative, don’t we?

Reeves will blame Brexit, Covid, The Wars, The Tories, Reform, the badly fitted windows frames when she was a child.

Basically FABL. Fucking Anything But Labour. This also looks a bit like like Fable and Fabian which I quite liked

FABL Fabian Fable thieving fuckwits.

I’ve had a long day.

And I’m changing my name in the next thread to AbsentosaurusRex, because now I’m not just a biological sex hoarding dinosaur, I’m an angry one. This is the moment where Starmer (who was one of the last to be mentioned by Trump) goes up to the podium to speak, but is sent back to his place by Trump. He looks so offended!. The arrogance and delusion of the man thinking anyone wanted to listen to her had to say.

Interesting glimpse of Giorgia Meloni's face in the background.
