Was that before you learned that it was now scanning faces in your uploaded photos to "help" you organise them ?

I don't keep many photos on my laptop so google gets to do that for me. Laptop is mainly sewing and knitting patterns and magazines. Acrobat likes to helpfully offer to summarise these for me, about as helpfully as DS2 organises my threads.

I see Edward Leigh subtly gave Badenoch/the Tories a telling off.

Edward Leigh, the Conservative father of the house, says he would like to hear the Commons united in saying they are “completely committed to creating a Palestinian state in the West Bank”. He says that is the “God-given right” of Palestinians.
Leigh is making a point about his own party, which opposed the government’s decision to recognise the state of Palestine and which only seems to show limited interest in the two-state solution.

I have met Leigh a few times. Obviously he is not my cup of tea politically, but he was always decent and polite and concerned about the mental health impact of rosacea, especially in younger people, which he has. People who don't know him make the assumption that he is a massive drinker. I always feel the need to defend him on that!

Trump hinted at that yesterday, that countries like the UK, Canada, France recognising Palestine put pressure on the Irsraeli government.

You'd think Badenoch would have jumped on that.

You'd think a lot about Badenoch but sadly it's not reciprocated. Waves hello 👋 to Badenoch.

i am old as well definitely not smelly another fan of Chanel No.5 also rather like Miss Dior, currently wearing Estée Lauder Beautiful Yy Coco mademoiselle.

dontcallmelen · 14/10/2025 19:33

Paco Rabbane millions smells like very cheap washing up liquid on me, another Chanel one I really like is Chance.

Saucery · 14/10/2025 19:48

‘You smell’ is such a retro insult Grin
I used to wear Chanel No. 5 but in my mid 40s it started to smell quite odd on me. Same with London Red Roses - adore it on other people but wanted to shower immediately when I bought myself some, ended up giving it away. I liked Paloma Picasso in my younger days, so sorry for anyone who ever had to share a train carriage with me! Black Aromatics by Clinique was nice, must see if they still do it and Thierry Mugler’s Alien was also a fave.
Most of the time I can’t be arsed to wear perfume nowadays, it would be a bit antisocial where I work, I think, although a colleague wears a lovely light Zara one.
Flags been taken down near me. Not all of them, so assume it wasn’t a Council decision. Good on whoever did it.

One of my DC bought me some perfume for Christmas a few years ago. Can’t remember which, but I think it was a Calvin Klein one.

I wasn’t very keen initially, and as the day wore on I was more and more irritated by the smell on me - till I suddenly realised that on my skin, it smelt like Pampers fragranced nappy sacks that I had bought when the DC were babies. Had to get rid of it after that.

Dh once worked near a perfumery, he spent time talking to them about me, personality, hobbies, interests etc and had them create a fragrance for me. That smelt amazing.
