Pull up a chair for some friendly chit chat about politics, cats, dogs and much more

Taxes optional but greatly appreciated.

I bet swan tastes muddy and fishy. I prefer crumpets.

Cat tax attached - it's the Orange One who has managed to be in better health a year after being diagnosed with stage 2 CKD. This is extremely unusual. He's a loudmouthed bolshy little miracle.

Solitary quince. It was an interesting eat - certainly not for the faint hearted.

10 years ago. The day I thought we’d lost him. I only discovered him because I heard the purring.

But would it have been better if it had been part of a menacing herd of quince?

Darling little cat still not home...6 weeks now. So hard without closure.
Thanks again for the best series of threads on mumsnet, always following, learning and agreeing (with most!).

Thanks for the new thread! I seem to have finally managed the distinction of the final post on the last one!
Dog tax this time - the lovely Manny (aka Hurricane Manny) who I walked from the home this week. Such good fun! Clever and playful boy.

Sorry to hear your cat is still AWOL @takingcareofme2023. It’s so difficult when they wander.

The injured cat I mentioned in thread 33 has been taken in by a family who don't live near a main road, to hope he can make a full recovery. The cat he shared living space with has suddenly decided I am nice and kind, having previously ignored me as a human who does not provide food.

Cat tax paid by cat who now likes me.

Quince jelly is delicious with cheese. My favourite crackers right now are the Co-op's sea salt and black peppers.

Apparently, cathode ray TVs are coming back. The hipsters love them.

I love the Aldi sea salt and black pepper too. And the Rosemary ones. Yes to quince jam but also fig chutney. I want cheese and biscuits now but my options are limited.

I get the nairns GF rosemary crackers (from Aldi!) - they are the best with soft cheese, ham and red pepper!

Sorry to hear your cat is still wandering takingcare Flowers
