Nice friends they keep

So it now appears the woman Farage and Gill were so close to has a direct link not only to Putin’s “Man in Ukraine” Medvedchuk, but his predecessor as President, Medvedev

These are top Russian agents.

So a vote for Reform is a vote for foreign interference?

InMySpareTime · 13/10/2025 10:50

When people voted for “sovrinty” they didn’t stop to ask who would be sovereign.

Some here have been saying that for a while.

Farright spends a lot of time in the US complaining about the UK, Clacton residents will be delighted.

It's hard to argue that our "democracy" falls down when it comes to empowering the constituents. Whilst it could be a two wedged sword, easier powers of recall might help drain some frustrations.

What do the thread think of Farright trying to pretend not being able to plop his cronies in the Lords is somehow a conspiracy ? Although the idea of ennobling him to (a) shut him up and (b) stop him being an MP must have occurred to some ...

DuncinToffee · 13/10/2025 11:22

Lord Nige will be the same a MEP Nige, easy money for nothing

Ah yes - but I'm sure that Farage and his ilk only deal with the right kind of foreigners. You know, dodgy Russians and mad American fundamentalist Christians...

Exactly!

Bloody hell.
And certain right wing supporting posters on MN swear blind Reform and friends aren't coming for abortion legislation in the UK.

We have discussed the ADF on these threads before. They bankrolled the anti buffer zone activitist Livia Tossici-Bolt in Bournemouth and no doubt have encouraged and supported other groups.

Quite why they think they should have the right to intimidate women in such a way I dont know. Prayer can be carried out at home without needing to get in the face of women.

Essentially Reform are collaborating with foreign groups to change Parliamentary legislation.

I also note - "And in private briefings, they have supplied the Trump administration with attack lines that cast the British government as hostile to free speech."

So essentially working with a foreign government to attack our own democracy.

Seems pretty traitorous to me.

And Ex MP for Congleton Fiona Bruce (not that Fiona Bruce!).

Richard Tice confirms Reform abandoning firm commitment to most of £90bn tax cuts in 2024 manifesto

Commitment now becomes an aspiration

Obviously they are struggling to win over people who can count without taking their ankle tags off.

Ian Watkins, recently deceased, got a first class honours degree in graphic design.

Given that when planning an event, venue is one of the most important things to lock in place, I think i could be forgiven for thinking that they would struggle to organise a piss up in a brewery.

Edited as missed half a sentence.

DuncinToffee · 13/10/2025 14:28

A part of the media is in meltdown because Starmer and Powell are in Egypt and being credited with playing an important role in the ceasefire deal.

I remember people being proud of the UK's achievements on world stage.

Is £15 all they would pay me to turn up? They are spoilt choice for half derelict WMCs in the town colloquially known as Afghanistanley.

Specifically selected as it voted for Christmas.

So do I, suppose being a Labour government that is competent isn’t worth mentioning in many quarters to used to previous incumbents not always being on top of the brief.
